A:

TMISAT syllabus comprises of subject-wise topics from Physics, Mathematics, Analytical and Logical Reasoning.  The test is based on the 11th and 12th CBSE standard Physics and Mathematics syllabus.

TMISAT Physics Syllabus: Kinematics, Physics and Measurement, Work, Laws of Motion The Motion of a System of Particles and Rigid Body, Energy, and Power, Properties of Bulk Matter, Gravitation The behavior of Perfect Gas and Kinetic Theory, Thermodynamics Electrostatics, Oscillations, and Waves Magnetic Effects of Current and Magnetism, Current Electricity Electromagnetic Waves Electromagnetic Induction and Alternating Currents, Dual Nature of Matter and Radiation, Optics Electronic Devices, Atoms, and Nuclei, Communication System.

TMISAT Mathematics Syllabus: Sets Relations and Functions Complex Numbers, Linear In equations, Linear Programming, Sequence and Series Permutation Combinations, Trigonometric and Inverse Trigonometry Functions, Matrices Determinants Limit Continuity, and Differentiation Integration, Differential Equations Straight Lines, and Conic Sections Statistics and Probability Vectors, and Three-Dimensional Geometry. Analytical and Logical Reasoning Syllabus for the TMISAT Verbal Reasoning and Nonverbal Reasoning. 

TMISAT Analytical and Logical Reasoning Syllabus:

  • Verbal Reasoning is the ability to understand and solve problems expressed in words logically. The ability to extract information and implications from a sentence is tested by verbal reasoning.
  • Nonverbal Reasoning is the ability to understand concepts and solve problems expressed in numbers/letters/figures in conjunction with words. Nonverbal reasoning assesses the ability to deduce and infer logic from information and implications in a problem.

Q:   What is the duration of TMISAT?

A:

In TMISAT, the main test is of 90 minutes duration followed by behavioral assessment of 30 minutes. The online test has a multiple-choice format covering Physics, Mathematics, Analytical and Logical Reasoning. The questions are of 10+2 level. There is one section each with a negative marking in Physics and Mathematics. The duration of the test is 90 minutes.

TMISAT 2025 Syllabus for Analytical and Logical Reasoning

There are two kinds of logical reasoning:

  • Verbal Reasoning is the ability to understand and solve problems expressed in words logically. The ability to extract information and implications from a sentence is tested by verbal reasoning.
  • Nonverbal Reasoning is the ability to understand concepts and solve problems expressed in numbers/letters/figures in conjunction with words. Nonverbal reasoning assesses the ability to deduce and infer logic from information and implications in a problem.
