Bachelor of Design (B.Des.) - Batch of 2024

College is average but it depends on students how they give their best for the degree.
Placements: In our college, 6 students got placement out of 15 students, the previous year. The highest salary package offered was 8.5 LPA and the lowest was 5.5 LPA. The top recruiting company is Just Dial. We have to find an internship by ourselves. Top roles of graphic designing and Ux/Ui designing are taught in this degree.
Infrastructure: All facilities are available on campus which includes Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and a library. The quality is also the best of everything and the best thing I like is the books in library. There are no hostels on campus but there is a hostel near the campus which is a government women's hostel and the facilities over there are best for girls.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and they make students industry-ready. The pass percentage is 98%. Semester exams will only be difficult when a student doesn't study and doesn't complete projects on time. We have jury because of practical subjects.
Other: I chose this designing course as I want to be an automobile designer and this degree is one more step towards it through more practical projects and exploring outside college. Events do not happen that much as compared to other colleges.

Review of U.P. Institute of Design.
Placements: 5 students from the batch got placed (that I know of). The highest package was 8 LPA, and the lowest package was 3.5 LPA. Only two companies visited our college for campus placements. Approximately all the students got internships from my course.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available but doesn't work, and we have no access to it. The classrooms do not have AC. There is no hostel, mess or canteen. Sports and games are not available. Medical facilities are available on the campus, but only first-aid facilities.
Faculty: Some of the faculty in our college are great. They're helpful and genuinely very qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching quality of most teachers is good. The course curriculum is somewhat relevant, but it doesn't make the students industry-ready. The semester exams are very easy to clear.

Bachelor of Design (B.Des.) - Batch of 2024
1.2

It is the worst college in terms of placements and teaching.
Placements: Students were placed on the basis of state entrance and UCEED exam. Teachers here are not experienced enough and don't know how to teach. Placements are the worst here. Not even a single student got placed from here until now from B.Des. The salary offered was Rs. 14,000 per month, which is not good.
Infrastructure: Our college has a canteen which is never opened. Classrooms are like common rooms, and Wi-Fi is available only for administration. Our college doesn't have a hostel, and we need to opt for a rental room or stay in PG. We don't have a hostel life and no friends. There are no books to study. Teachers teach on their own.
Faculty: Some teachers here are qualified enough, but every student is not happy with the quality teaching. Our college has prepared its own syllabus, which does not have books. Teachers teach as per their own thinking. In every lecture, you will always get new assignments. Materials are not provided by the college.
Other: The best thing about our college is it is very affordable compared to other design courses offering colleges.

I am satisfied because of faculty members and support provided by them.
Placements: The college is new and a part of AKTU Lucknow. The 1st batch of the college will complete the course in the year 2021, so no placements are done till now. But the percentage of students who got an internship in this course is quite good. Almost every student got an internship.
Infrastructure: The college is well-set-up with a good environment. The campus has a good number of facilities including Wi-Fi, well-set-up labs, canteen and well-set-up library. The workshop is equipped with CNC and laser cutter. There is a separate space for metal and wood workshop.
Faculty: Faculty members of our college are well-qualified. Most of them are alumni of IIT and SPA, and they are quite helpful and always support at every stage. The well-prepared course curriculum helps in the better development of the students and help them for a better understanding of the industry.

It provides new opportunities for industrial design with workshops and laboratories.
Placements: Firstly it is a new and first design government. College falls under UPSEE, and the first batch has been placed successfully in companies like DFI, Delhi, Geeky ants, Fisdom, and many went to start their business and some went for further studies. Internships are being offered by faculty members and guided by HOD.
Infrastructure: UG, PG, and computer laboratories with workshops and 3D printing and optical scanner-like instruments. The laboratory has mac and graphic tablets for students to work on. Photography laboratory for the interested students. The hostel facility is not provided. But nearby there is a private hostel for girls and boys both.
Faculty: Faculty members are highly qualified from- IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur, SPA, and Delhi with minimum master's degrees and some with Ph.D. There are 2 cycle tests and then end-semester exams followed in a single semester. At least 75% of attendance is required to qualify for each test and exam.
Other: There are limited students in this college.
