A review on Umes Chandra College.

Placements: There are no placements, but this college is the best for studies. If you are pursuing any other professional course, you can continue it by studying in this college. At first, I heard that companies will come to college for placements, but I didn't see any company coming here.

One of the best college in Kolkata.

Placements: The college provide large number of placement degree. The students provided jobs in multinational companies like Wipro, TCS, etc. The company provided him accounts related jobs any many more posts as per candidates skill and knowledge. There is more chances to get placement.

A very good college but with a need to improve the infrastructure.

Placements: It was a random section and no proper selection was made Only one company visited the college in these years and all the jobs were of same pay scale and no better options were available. The whole placement criteria was done in a single day and it was not good at all. Even the deserving students didn't get the jobs.

Good college in West Bengal.

Placements: At the end of the 3rd year many companies visit the college for selecting the deserving student. Emami, work, tata, icici bank etc. Visited last year. Minimum requirement of 55% in the B.Com course. The offered minimum 1.5 Lacs P. A package. As far as I know it is ragging free.

Colleges today and youths of tomorrow.

Placements: As per the placements are concerned our college does allots placements and that too before our final year exams. And the placements are from some reputed companies like recently it was from TCS but the job that was offered was not up to the expectations. But it's good to have such interview experiences before our finals do that we can prepare ourselves better for future.

Good college for those who are doing professional course.

Placements: The placements of this college are little bit satisfactory. Last year 359 students got placed out of 400 in companies of Tata Consultancy Services, Kolkata and Axis Bank, Pune. Every year at least 5-6 companies visit this college and take about 100 students who got passed the exam.

Opt the college if you are doing other courses and also want to become a graduate.

Placements: Currently, some of my friends got placements from Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. My seniors also got placements in their time. You can get jobs before the exam of the part-III. It's a great college for me. Every different company take placements in this college. They offered good package.

Budget suiting and CU degree.

Placements: There is no such big placement just a good degree. Some local companies visit here and hire some students. The college helps in the internships and other activities. It promotes different types of sports and organises different sports completion. You will love it.

Absolutely satisfied with my college and its faculty members.

Placements: Generally, TCS is the company which visits every year for placements, and about 10% of the students got placement. The average salary offered is 25,000. The highest salary is not disclosed. However, the students get a decent job from campus. Also, the students can continue with their articleship if they are doing CA as the college hours are in the morning thus suitable for those who are pursuing the professional course as well.

A good college for professional students.

Placements: My college doesn't offer any placements. It's a graduation college. You got to earn your degree here by self-studying. You get the whole day empty so that you can take up any other professional course. It's morning classes are really helpful. You learn various subjects over the years.

Umes Chandra College review

Placements: I didn't get placed, not because of the college, but just because I was pursuing other courses as well. About the other students, most of them were pursuing other courses like me, so I don't know whether they wanted to get placed or not. Students get an average percentage usually.

Overall, a good college for pursuing B.Com from Calcutta University

Placements: Umes Chandra College is only a commerce college following the curriculum of Calcutta University and providing Bachelors degree in B. Com honours and general. No placement is facilitated by the college, unlike a medical or engineering college. However, in the previous years, some companies had come to the college for recruiting interns for the finance department.

The best college for CA/ computer science/ CMA aspirants in the heart of Kolkata.

Placements: No on-campus placement arrangement was there, but all the students have scored very well, and they have got good jobs in the off-campus based on that. More than 50% were pursuing CA/computer science/ CMA when they completed the graduations. Hence, they did not approach any job opportunities.

Overall, a good college for getting a degree from CU.

Placements: It is very important to make it clear that this is only a commerce degree college unlike an engineering or medical college that provides you with a professional degree. Despite the fact, the companies like TATA and Wipro had come before, for recruiting interns. Note: Many students do professional courses, for example, CA, CS or CMA separately along with pursuing B.Com.

Absolutely satisfied. Great learning experience with such talented faculty members.

Placements: Our college did not provide placement but the teachers are good. The infrastructure is not good as compared to others but it is one of the best colleges of commerce in Kolkata. I had a great experience with great teachers. It indulges in lots of extra-curricular activities. I would advise you to go without a single thought.

The college is kind of average. The fee is very low and it is not co-ed. This college is only for boys and is not very strict. It is located near college street and the infrastructure here is very poor. This is a morning college which becomes a city school during the day and city college in the evening. The canteen serves very cheap food, and a lot of students here are involved in students' union which organises various social events like blood donation camps etc. The second campus of this colle...

I have mixed reviews for this college. Even though the campus facilities and exposure which it provides through its events is fabulous; the Placements are only average. The fee structure at my time of joining was very high, which I feel is not worth the money as the ROI is lowered. The faculty is not up to the mark and even the college crowd is not so great. I will recommend this college to others.

One of the oldest college where you meet your capabilities of which you were unaware of. Good faculties, teachers with enriched with ideas and co-operative seniors. A good place to manage your college life and professional/social life. You won’t regret a penny spent here

The college campus was not very big. It was a three storied building. Very good professors but very few attendance because it was morning section. I enjoyed the classes. Good library but very little playground. Teachers were helpful. I had very few friends from the college because very less students came to the college. Actually they missed some great faculty.
