I am satisfied with the college in all aspects.
Placements: About 70% of the students got placed from college, whereas the remaining 30% opted out as either they wanted to continue family business or have their own start-up companies. During our course duration, Byju's, Tanishq, FabIndia, Titan, and Tata Motors visited the campus for recruitment. Most of the profiles were about product development design, customer engagement & some more similar. The average salary package offered ranges from about 10 LPA - 12 LPA. Internships were quite well, and some of them even got preplacement offers.
Infrastructure: We had well-furnished labs, with all updated equipment. The entire campus was Wi-Fi enabled including hostel & the mess. They had 2 cafeterias on the campus. The quality of the food served was good. They do have medical facility available 24x7. Different sports club were there to organise tournaments.
Faculty: Teachers in our college were well-equipped with modern art of training. They were well-experienced in both industrial & teaching skills. The course gets updated as per the market scenario concerned for the betterment to opt the best as required. PPTs & presentations were given as a task for preparing us for future concerns.
Other: I opted for this course because it is just not about design. You get to meet & know versatile people of different fields such as law or master's in business, graduating bachelors of administration or mass communication and liberal arts. So you get to gain knowledge from different fields. Various things were organised from time to time in the year occasion wise. You cannot feel bore here.

Review of UID Karnavati University.
Placements: They only charge money, there have been no college placements as of now, and you will have to rely on your portfolio. Most of the students privately apply for internships, and these students get in huge companies, compared to NIFT, NID and the fees that we pay, is an ultimate failure.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility of the college is not free, only 15 GB for a month is given to students, which is less than what Vodafone and Airtel offer. Labs are limited to the number of students studying. The software of the institute is not updated. Hostel facilities are really poor, and they increase the amount of Rs. 10,000 compared to last year. Medical facilities are also poor, and no medicine is immediately available in a 100 KM radius. Medicines are may be available in a nearby village.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are kind, helpful but not knowledgable. They are average, and they are not of the design field and lack current knowledge of design. We still have to rely on the internet and other stuff to learn the same things thought at college and to gain extra knowledge. The course curriculum is not relevant at all. UID is just the hype and advertisement, inside it is nothing. It is better to study in NIFT and NID. If you don't get, it is better to go for some affordable design college which has more campus placement than UID.
Other: I am a student of 2018-2022 batch, but I dropped out in the year 2019 due to personal reasons, but my class X and class XII certificates are still with UID of Karnavathi University. I changed into Gujarat University with the help of Digi-lock by E-government to get my certificates. They asked me to pay 16 lacs, which is the total tuition fee of the course. The way the college presents the course is boring and horrible. I can learn more through YouTube videos. Everything about the course has to be changed. Events and fests are conducted in our college, but they are a waste of money. The living expense is getting more expensive before as there were no shops nearby the college. Most of the money goes in the taxi and other vehicles.

Review of UID - Unitedworld Institute of Design.
Placements: Regarding placements, students can hope for the best, but they have to prepare for the worst. The placement cell is situated inside the college, but good placements are not provided yet. We hope it will be better in future, and there are plenty of chances to grow better.
Infrastructure: The college campus is good, and it is better than many other colleges. There are huge classrooms and workshops so that all the students can be accommodated. Canteens are also huge. Basketball courts and badminton courts are available for the students.
Faculty: Most of the faculty members studied in various well-reputed colleges in India, so they are good. Also, there are many teachers who have around 15 to 20 years of experience in the same field.
Other: The college organises events, but they ask for money every time. The trips are also conducted, but they ask for money. The college provides nothing for free of cost.

Infrastructure and teaching methods are good.
Placements: The first batch is yet to be placed but the college has good connections with many companies. The first batch of Automobile design will pass out in 2021 as this course is quite new. We can expect a package of 4-5 Lacs. A good number of students got internships last year.
Infrastructure: The lifestyle in college is average but the good thing is that everything is changing very fast in a positive way. Wi-Fi is provided to the students on monthly basis. Labs are properly equipped and we can work in the labs efficiently. Medical facilities are okay and there are several games on the campus.
Faculty: Teachers are really helpful and they have a good understanding of what they are teaching. They know how to teach and provide proper knowledge to students. The automobile batch has an innovative syllabus. The course is quite relevant in my view.

Students also asked

A:

Getting admission at UID Ahmedabad is can be challenging. This process includes passing the UID DAT which is a design aptitude test, along with two-tiered evaluation. And the last qualifying examination needs to be passed with an aggregate minimum of 50% for candidates in the general category. Such an approach gives fair as well as exhaustive testing of the applicants' design aptitude and academic preparedness for gaining admission at UID Ahmedabad.

Q:   What was the highest package offered at UID Ahmedabad?

A:

The best package for placements at UID Ahmedabad are not available readily. But in 2022, the average package for a B.Des was around INR 8–12 LPA, and the average package for an M.Des was INR 10–14 LPA. Prominent recruiters such as FabIndia and Byju's took part, thus individual offers might have exceeded those ranges. I advise visiting the university website or getting in touch with their placement team for the most recent information.

Q:   Can I join UID Ahmedabad directly?

A:

Sadly, most programmes do not offer direct admission to UID Ahmedabad. A two-tier evaluation with the UID Design Aptitude Test (UID DAT), a Situation Test (ST), and portfolio review is part of their usual admissions procedure. This guarantees that they choose pupils who possess both theoretical understanding and real-world expertise.

There are a few exclusions, though:

Lateral Entry: You may be qualified for lateral entry into particular semesters if you have already completed a qualifying Diploma or degree in design.

Transfer Admission: Under specific circumstances, students enrolled in another design programme may be eligible to transfer to UID. For further details contact with administration.

Q:   How successful is the placement cell in securing jobs for B.Des students at UID Ahmedabad?

A:
