It is a good place to have fun.

Placements: Placements are provided both on campus and off campus. The highest salary package offered is 35 LPA and the lowest salary package is from 3.5 LPA to 8 LPA. The recruiting companies are mostly hiring students from IT and CSE branches that are TCS, Motherson, Infosys, Perot System, Tech Mahindra, and many more but salary packages are not high.

A good college to be at Shimla.

Placements: Currently, the placement percentage of our batch is not available because it is our first batch of electrical engineering passing out from the college. So, not sure about the placements of our own trade. Placements for the IT and CSE trades are easily available .

HPU UIT Shimla is a good college. Placements and faculty members are pretty good.

Placements: The placements in HPU UIT Shimla are good for CSE/IT students. 70 - 80% of students got placed in campus placement. The average package for CSE/IT students lies between 5 to 6 LPA. The minimum package is 3 LPA from uit Shimla. But the thing is that you have to work hard and gain skills.

Infrastructure is not good, placements are fine in this college but not worth.

Placements: Placements in our college were good this year and are getting better every year. From this year, other streams like EE, ECE, CE will also sit in the placement drive, and hence more companies will visit our college. This year, companies like Amazon, Wipro, etc., visited our college for placements.

It is an average government degree college with high fee structure and educational service.

Placements: Around 60% of the students are placed. The highest salary package offered is 6 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA. The top recruiting company of our college is Infosys. Internships depend on students. Many seminars and extra courses are offered, but placements are lower than average.

A great place to learn and enjoy your college life.

Placements: Placements were good for our batch as well as our senior batches. Around 60-70% of the students get placed every year. Most of the unplaced students are the ones who opted out of placements because of their own reasons. Companies like Capgemini, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, etc., visit the college regularly and recruit a good number of students for software engineering roles. There is a proper placement cell, and a placement committee is also constituted every year.

Good placements every year and a great college to be graduate from.

Placements: Approximately 60 students are placed in Wipro, Capgemini, Clicklabs and Infosys from the 2017 batch. Wipro and Clicklabs visited the campus for placements. The packages offered varied from 3 LPA to 3.60 LPA. There is a placement cell managed by students with the help and guidance of TPO. The cell is very helpful when we went for off-campus placements. Roles like software engineer, system engineer, service engineer are offered to the students.

Only good for students who want to enjoy life.

Placements: You can get placed from UIIT, but the maximum package you can get is 3 lpa. This year also, a few students got placed from UIIT. So you cant totally trust UIIT for the placement. Almost, 30% of the students got placed last year. There are no signs of internship in our college.

A decent college to study in.

Placements: The placements were up to the mark with a decent package. You can't say they are great but better than most of the colleges in the same league. Also, the teachers help with all the placement stuff, so the placements are good, and if you work hard, you can end being placed with a decent job offer in your hand.

Easy to get a degree here. Overall, it is a good college.

Placements: In 2016, around 30-40 students got placed in Wipro visited us in Shimla. Some students got placed in Infosys when they (students) appeared for the pool placements at various nearby colleges. The maximum package was of 5 lakhs per annum offered by Think and learn Pvt Ltd. Wipro and Infosys took the students at 2.7-3.3 lakhs per annum. In the year 2017, around 15 students got placed in Wipro, an abrupt drop was seen in the number of students placed. In 2016, the total number of students who got pl...

It is the best if you want enough time to work on your projects.

Placements: As being the only HPU affiliated college for the state, companies do prefer this college over others. Most of the batch every year gets their placement from in campus as well as the pool campus placements. As being a final year student, I do have placements for two companies right now. Some of the companies that visit campus regularly or invite for pool campus are: Wipro, Infosys, Clicklabs, Capgemini, HP and also UES army and Navy. The average package revolves around 3.5-4 LPA. Some companies ...

Nice college, enough opportunities, good infrastructure, poor teaching.

Placements: The placements have been getting better every successive year. The average package has also increased. Not just the mass recruiting companies but many big companies select students from the institute. The highest package in 2015 was 5 lpa offered to 2 students.

Pros: 1. You will have enough free time for self-study. 2. No pressure. 3. Good placements. 4. You will find quality students. Cons: 1. If you are careless, then being here will make you even more careless 2. Temporary teachers. 3. You will miss quality teachers. Another thing is, that you will have ample time to prepare for CAT or GATE if you want to, otherwise you will have much time to enjoy at Shimla. The weather conditions are always pleasant here.

It’s a govt. College and specially opened for IT/CSE stream students. Placement record is 90-97% but hostel facility isn't available. All the students were placed in last year. Faculty is responsive and responsible too. As college doesn't support any seat on donation and only learnt person can join here which is a plus point for study environment.
