Review of The School of Law, University of Petroleum and Energy Studies.

Placements: Our senior batch students had a good placement record. Students were satisfied by their placements. There were a lot of placement opportunities. The placement cell of the college invites many companies. The college now offers better placements. I am hoping that they would make it even better by the time of our graduation.

Our college is just like that of Amity University, Noida.

Placements: We have very bad campus placements regarding the pay scale as well as companies and designations. It's easier to get internships on our own with a better pay scale than the campus placements provided in this university. They give no proper training to crack the interviews.

One of the many thugs amongst all the private colleges.

Placements: Placements for the toppers of my senior batches came up to 60,000/-. Not a lot of wrll developed companies visited due to problems related to terrain as the college is situated at a troublesome location. Maximum 3 companies visited, rest all were small ventures. The result of this college is not worth the money one pays.

The money spent can better be invested elsewhere.

Placements: In the present Era of Corporate Industrialization, the campus placement is an important criteria in choosing a College or University to get a Degree. Regarding the placements at UPES, until 2016 UPES was a steadily growing and a decent University to opt for. However, in the year 2016, there was a change in the Management and the UPES was taken over by Laureate International Universities. Post the takeover, the quality element at the University was compromised for quantity, i.e. the earlier intak...

Dissatisfied because of faculty and lack of good people.

Placements: Very few companies come for placements in law and basically no big companies just start ups. Also the packages they provide are not very good, usually within the range of 2.9 lacs- 3.2 lacs. The senior batch recently got placed and only about 33% of the students were placed which is not too much as the crowd at the college is increasing every year due to addition of new courses.

A review on Private University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, Dehradun.

Placements: The college provides very bad placements. No good companies come for campus placements. Those companies which come have very minimal packages even for the top scoring students. A few good placements were available in core branch of petroleum and few branches in B.Tech. So, choose wisely.

A college whose very own employed proctor says it is better to invest 5 lakh rupees a year elsewhere

Placements: The percentage of students placed is high,. Well that is only because they let a select few students to sit for placements. The college average package for a student is 3.75 which is even lesser than what a student pays here for an year. And they offer campus placements, which is another reason why most teachers leave mid semester and hang the students with due courses.

Basically an expensive side option.

Placements: As far as I have seen or heard about the placements of this college are very poor and primary. UPES is a growing college and unless until the next few years it changes dramatically, it has not proceeded much in the placements sector. We are all hoping that the placements get better by the time we graduate.

Absolutely dissatisfied by the management system but it has good faculty.

Placements: The placements for the students in BBA digital marketing is not at all good. They show 100% of placements, but what is the need if good companies are not coming for BBA digital marketing. At least, the companies which are coming to the college are genuine. The college is costly, as you have to pay 2 lakhs for 1 academic year, and still, the placements are not up to the mark.

UPES: Emerging university, but has nothing underneath.

Placements: The placements at this college as they show are very huge. But in reality, it is just mass recruitments like any other ordinary college. Most of the students are placed in IT/ Market research companies which are already mass recruiters and there is nothing special for the fees which you are paying.

Worst college, not worth for money. Management is just greedy for money. Placements are worse than poor. Fees are 8.5 lacs n companies coming for campus offering only 3-4 lacs package. Fake advertising campaign fake promises. Only few faculties are knowledgeable otherwise all are village people with no sense of professionalism. College campus looks like construction site rather than b-school. There is no proper road for kandholi campus. Worse in rainy season. Students are facing so much health i...

University with big name and low exposure.

Placements: The university provides average placement where reputed companies visits campus. Average placement package goes between 4-5 Lacs pet annum. In recent years the placements seems to be going down as per the requirements of the students. Placements are not provided to every student.

It is an overrated college and has poor placements.

Placements: Students who have 65% marks in their 10th, intermediate and graduation will get placements. Placements start in early September, and Accenture starts offering salary packages of 9-14 LPA for 5-7 students. None of the analytics company visited here, and marketing research companies visit here in abundance. Overall, I will give 1.5 out of 5 stars for placements.
