While NCERTs cover the core syllabus, additional practice, and advanced learning materials are often required for deeper understanding and effective preparation.

Q. What are the best books for the CUET Language Section?

Ans. The language section of CUET UG 2025 tests a candidate’s proficiency in a specific language, including grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, and writing skills. For those opting for English under this section, choosing the right study material is crucial to mastering the language. Below is a list of some of the highly recommended books for CUET English preparation:

These books not only offer in-depth coverage of topics but also include mock tests and previous year questions to help students practice effectively.

Q. How many books should I use for each CUET subject?

Ans. Start with NCERT books to build your fundamentals, as they cover most of the essential topics aligned with the CUET syllabus. After completing NCERTs, select one or two good reference books for each subject to practice advanced-level questions, gain deeper insights, and solve mock tests. Choose reference books that provide chapter-wise exercises, solved examples, and previous year questions.

It’s also a good idea to supplement your learning with mock tests, question banks, or practice papers from publications like Oswaal or Arihant to improve time management and accuracy. However, avoid overwhelming yourself with too many books; focus on mastering a few well-selected resources. Consistent revision and practice are more important than covering multiple books superficially.

Q. Where can I find previous years' question papers and mock tests?

Ans. Practicing previous years’ question papers and taking mock tests are crucial steps in CUET preparation. They help candidates understand the exam pattern, identify important topics, and improve speed and accuracy. Here are some reliable sources to access these materials:

  • Official NTA CUET Website: The official website of NTA (National Testing Agency) offers free access to previous years’ question papers in PDF format. These papers provide real exam experience and insight into the types of questions asked.
  • Publication Houses: Many publishers offer solved question banks, mock tests, and sample papers specifically designed for CUET. These books also include detailed solutions to help candidates learn from their mistakes.
  • Online Educational Platforms: Various online educational platforms provide free and paid mock tests, quizzes, and practice questions. These resources are helpful for time-bound practice and identifying weak areas.

Practicing regularly with these materials can significantly improve your preparation and boost your chances of scoring well in the CUET UG 2025 exam.
