Placements: About 65% of the students got placed from our university. The highest salary package offered was 5.6 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was Rs. 90,000 per annum. Goodyear was the top recruiter for our course. About 56% of the students get internships in Goodyear and Nestle company. They mostly offer marketing and sales roles.
Placements: The placement of my batch was great and all the students, without any exception, got placed. 100% placement was achieved and most of them were offered above 8 LPA. The highest package offered was around 22 LPA, the lowest was around 8 LPA and the average was 12 LPA. Even the batch size was small, consisting of just 102 students. The internship was also good and every student got paid.
Good college with a good pedigree. It doesn't rank as high as it should in the eyes of aspirants due to the location. Companies come to IIT Kharagpur for B.Tech placements but due to difference in placement calendar, they usually don't come to IIT Kharagpur for placements of other courses. Hence, only companies with a history and association with the college visits.
