Good campus environment and infrastructure. Almost all departments have good faculty members.
Placements: We have an internship for 365 days. We work in OPD and our college hospital. The stipend offered is Rs. 30,000 per month. There is a good patient flow. We can come across almost every different case. After completion of internships, we can join any hospital to work and get Rs. 25,000-30,000 per month.
Infrastructure: Sports activities are there. There is a huge college ground. Overall, campus life is so good, friendly, and secure. It allows us to freely live and enjoy. All classrooms have good infrastructure and uphold up to 180-200 students. LED screens, projectors, and all other essential technologies are installed. A well-built spacious room is allotted for 2 students. Electricity, water, and other facilities are also provided. Hostels are much cheaper. If you are not willing to join this hostel, you can rent a room or PG nearby the campus.
Faculty: The teaching methods are so good and well-built. Distributed departments enhance the learning experience. All activities are performed as per the curriculum. Exams are held frequently. Internals are held every 3 months. Final exams are held once a year. It is mandatory to maintain attendance to undergo examinations.
Other: Events and fests are held often. The campus is not that crowded as it is big.

The ideal college in the medical world .
Placements: The 1st year batch which I joined has 200 other students, and VIMS is one of the top colleges in the state with the best faculty and facilities. The college really provides vast, great knowledge about medicine and about this social course. 200 students get the internship placements in the college.
Infrastructure: The college faculty and facilities are top-notch. The classes are conducted via PPT presentations and a blackboard, making it easy for the students. Libraries are huge, with an enormous amount of books. Hostels are very good with 2 people per room with great food and water facilities. The college is big, which helps the students to get involved in sports activities.
Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified and best labeled as the best in the state for the quality of knowledge they pass onto their students, which helps them in various medical aspects by sharing their situations in medical conditions. The course curriculum contains information specific to their year. Semester examinations are very good, which the students easily pass because of the quality of education the teachers provide.
Other: The campus is very huge with a park, library, canteen, and huge halls for greater ambience for the students to thrive under the pressure of medical college, which usually students feel.

A very good and tol medical college
Placements: There is average placement , not like compared to AIIMS but more than that of other government medical College in India. Nowadays students are writting neet pg and inicet exam so they will go and do masters in their respective branch like our college offers top quality in surgery and obg department which can be compared one of the top in karnataka.
Infrastructure: There is new buiding for our college and new library which is central library and there is no wifi in old college and library but there may be wifi in new college . Labs are well equipped with all equipments and well build and separate department with separate building.
Faculty: Mostly in all government colleges faculty will remain same itself and the curriculum is about cbme curriculum which is same for all gonernment medical colleges and patient outflow is really high so that they make interest in studing and they keep 3 internal exams before the main rguhs examination.

Very old and good college with respect to faculty, facilities and patient load.
Placements: Many top doctors are from this college and it is one of the oldest colleges in our state. It's well known for its very big campus. Significant amount of people got into central institutions study in this college. The academics are great and all departments are good.
Infrastructure: We have a seminar hall with four classrooms. A big campus, a playground, every department and hospital is within the campus, a canteen near the hospital, spacious campus with good safety, 24 hrs library with a digital library which is open in the morning hours.
Faculty: All faculty members are excellent especially 1st and 2nd professors are great. 3rd professor won't be much teaching as we are expected to study by ourselves. 4th professor is mainly clinical. Since the patient load is good, we can learn better. Good surgical cases are there.
Other: Patient load is very good. The surgical department is top notch and comes in 1st place among all Karnataka colleges. Fests and events are great too.

I am highly satisfied with the college, staff and facilities, but the infrastructure is not good.
Placements: It is a medical college, and almost all the students get jobs after their MBBS. The highest salary offered is Rs. 60,000 per month and the lowest salary offered is Rs. 20,000 per month. However, it depends on the work of PG's. Top roles offered to the students have to manage to save a life. In our course, the salary offered will depend on the seat you get in PG and also the work. All the passed out students do an internship, and some of our seniors did in hospitals like Fortis, Apollo, etc.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is not available here. They provide labs, classrooms, library and other facilities like ward study and special classes by our postgraduates. Other facilities, like industrial visits, are also provided here. Mess for hostellers is run by students. Quality of food is good.
Faculty: All the professors of the college are doctors. They are qualified in every term, such as teaching theory, practicals, and performing events in the college. The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes students more interesting in the study. Students also get experienced by it. VIMS is one of the best colleges in Karnataka for patient input and provides a much better experience to the students. Students who utilise this experience gets better results and knowledge.
Other: I have chosen this course because it's a dream to my parents of being a doctor at home. This dream of my parents became my interest, and later I tried in CET and got better rank and fetched me this college. The best thing about our course is that it is a life-saving mission. Betterment is needed in students because many of us are coming from schools and pre-university, which were private. Spoon feeding is seen in such organisations, and now all of a sudden we are in government college which does not spoonfeed us. I hope the betterment should be from the students' side and college should provide us with strict study hours for at least 2 hours under monitoring from the college side. VIMS is one of the best colleges in Karnataka, which allows us to celebrate all the events and festivals. Events include JDA for farewell for junior doctors is conducted in February, Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations, college day, Karnataka Rajotsava and Dhandia during Dussehra.

Overall it is a good college.
Placements: There were 150 students in my batch. In 2023, they increased the number of seats by 50, for a total of 200 students. VIMS is a good college to learn at. There are a lot of patients coming to the hospital every day, and you can learn a lot by seeing different types of patients.
Infrastructure: The classrooms are good, and the library has Wi-Fi. The campus grounds are nice to walk around after dinner, but there are a lot of dogs and snakes on campus. The campus is also a big ground.
Faculty: The teaching is excellent, and the subject matter is very vast. We can learn a little bit by listening in class, but we need to study more and more. Also, for boys, it is easy to go to postings because the departments are near the boys' hostel.
Other: I'm a student at Vijayanagara Institute of Medical Sciences (VIMS) in Bellary. I think it's a good college. They conduct all types of events every year, which makes for a well-rounded education.
