This college provides experience and good environment.
Placements: Almost 70% of students got placed in this course. Many students failed to attend online classes. Many students quit their studies during the lockdown. Many of them lost hope and interest in studying further.
Infrastructure: Our campus was eco-friendly and well-maintained. Classrooms were properly equipped with chairs, tables, and fans. The food served in the canteen was very good. We always share our money so that everyone can enjoy canteen food. There were 374 classrooms in this college.
Faculty: Teachers were well-qualified and helpful. They explain all questions easily. All teachers were friendly. Despite the lockdown, they provided proper guidance to students. They also provided notes and study materials during exams.
Other: I would recommend students to join this college.

VJRC is one of the best colleges in Kolkata, where you can complete your UG degree. It is under CU.
Placements: I am pursuing history honours course. There ware total 51 students. At the time of college admission, they said total fees of INR 6500 rupees, but later it went over INR 10000. As our course is not over yet, I can't say about internship. But everyone is studying well so I am hoping to get a good internship.
Infrastructure: Our college does not have its own hostel. So nothing to say about course, department, Wi-Fi, labs etc. But our classroom is very clean and we take care of its cleanliness. Our college has its own library, and the library service is also very good.
Faculty: If I have to talk about the teachers, I would say that the teachers of this college were the best in the world. They are very responsible, knowledgeable and very friendly. They complete the syllabus very nicely on time. Our syllabus was not too difficult. You can pass easily, if you study well.
Other: One of the reasons for choosing this course is my interest and love for history.

I had a wholesome experience that made my college life jubilant.
Placements: It is just an average government college that provides a good education. The course target was to enhance our understanding of the particular subject. Even if few seminars were held related to jobs but there weren't much placements for the students. One should not expect placements while taking admission to this college.
Infrastructure: Experts made the syllabus wise. It was appropriate in all senses. As my subject was English, I have a good grip on English literature after I complete the course. The overall infrastructure was good enough for us. The facilities were good as well. Also, the college libraries were peaceful and had diverse book collections.
Faculty: Most of our college days went in lockdown. We didn't get much opportunity to explore things in college. However, the teachers were friendly and helpful even in online classes. They provided us with the necessary notes. Having said that they instilled our enthusiasm for the allotted topics which made us love literature even more.

Absolutely Great for English and Microbiology departments.
Placements: Our college has a placement cell where you can enrol your name and department. Though the placement system is not as good as other universities or colleges. But this college is very good for microbiology students. They get good jobs from there. Top recruiting companies like Byju and HDFC etc. came here last year. The top roles offered in our college are English Microbiology, Commerce, Journalism and Mass Communication. Most of the students from my department are pursuing higher studies. Others got a job from there. About 40% of students were placed in my course. The highest package of INR 4 LPA & the lowest package of INR 2.70 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not so good. There is no Wi-Fi connection. Classrooms have fewer windows and more dust. Librarian's behaviour is totally undeserving. No hostel facilities are there. In the canteen, the quality of food is very low. Behaviour is also bad. Others like Sports and Games are highly appreciated by the College faculty members.
Faculty: The teachers were very helpful throughout the course. We as a student, are very much grateful to be a part of those beautiful memories. The teachers were highly qualified. Each one of them has a degree of PhD. The teaching quality was very nice. They always tried to clear our doubts. They made us completely ready for our future. University exams are always tough. The question paper of Calcutta University has a higher class than others. But if one can learn the whole thing, they can get a good number of numbers. Students have to get a minimum of 40% to get an Honours Degree.
Other: English is artistic and my love for artsy things will never end. Throughout my college days, I have made lots of memories. One thing I should recommend changing is that the classrooms are very dirty, try to clean that. Other than that, Vijay Jyotish Ray College helped me to grow as a better human being.

I would not recommend this college.
Placements: We didn't get any placements from the college. Some of the departments offered jobs to their students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is average. We do not have Wi-Fi in college. Classrooms are good and clean. The library is good. The college has no hostels or a mess. The canteen is quite huge and clean as well.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful in class. In the internal and tutorial exams, they do not give marks no matter how well you write in the exam. It decreases our overall percentage. The pass percentage is 30.
Other: Small events like Holi and Saraswati PujA are organised in this college. They do not arrange any kind of festival, social activity, or anything else.

Review of Vijaygarh Jyotish Ray College.
Placements: A decent number of students have been placed in our department. The highest package was 1 LPA, and the lowest was approximately Rs. 30,000. After this course, students usually get the role of teacher.
Infrastructure: We don't have free Wi-Fi in our department, but classrooms are clean, and we have a good library. The quality of the facilities in our hostel is good, and so is the quality of the food. The canteen is clean, and the medical facilities are good.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The difficulty level of the semester exams is exactly like that of Calcutta University because this college is affiliated with the university, so the questions are also the same. You need 40% to pass.
