The kind of blog you wish you read before college.
Placements: The placement cell in our college is not that strong, but it tries much to get every student placed who has no supply in previous exams. The number of students getting placed through campus placements is about 60%. The highest salary package is about 10 LPA, the lowest is 1.6 LPA and the average salary package is about 2–3 LPA. A few recruiters are TCS, Tech Bee, HDFC, SAFFRON, and so on. Students can do internships from the 3rd year and many students from my college get internships as part of it. The top roles offered in my course are software engineer, company executive, etc.
Infrastructure: The college building itself, at first glance, is captivating. Personally, I like how the college is and there are only stars around the building and no lifts. The washrooms are not up to the mark and could improve; there is a water cooler, which is not that good either. There is a college library, which itself is quite huge and you can get every study material you need. There are not many other books other than study books. There is also a college canteen and a few kiosks around the college that have some great foods. Wi-Fi is available around the campus and can be accessed freely. The classrooms are also quite spacious and nice; the college labs have only a few good facilities. The college hostels are also nice, as per what I heard. The food is only decent.
Faculty: The teaching faculty are also nice; some are quite experienced and some are learning there ways around. The qualifications are not up to par, but they do try their level best. The course I am studying is from the 2019 syllabus, which is too old and needs to be updated and KTU University is also bad. The college or this course does not make students job- or industry-ready as they do not teach hands-on training. The difficulty of the semester exams depends upon the university and a few times exams are hard and a few times they are easy; the pass rate is only about 70%.

If you only want to focus on studies this is a must search college.
Placements: Our course consists of three batches, each with 63 students. One of our seniors has successfully secured a position at Google, and several other students from previous batches have also obtained secure jobs. Out of the 595 students enrolled, 261 have secured placements in the 2022 batch. Notable companies offering high packages include SPG with 21LPA, Adobe Systems with 23.35LPA, Amazon with 16LPA, and Topper with 15 LPA, among others.
Infrastructure: The college campus consists of four separate buildings, interconnected by flyovers. It features a well-stocked library offering audio and online search facilities, with Wi-Fi accessible on all floors. Additionally, the college boasts a spacious field and two basketball courts, encouraging students to engage in sports and other activities. Moreover, the cafeteria is known for its cleanliness and affordability.
Faculty: The teacher has experience. They provide us with notes other than class notes. The classes are understandable and of good qualities. The college encourages us to participate in activities related to the industry. The semester exam are moderate as the college already prepared us with all the midterm exams.
Other: CSE is a course that gives out abundant placements and job opportunities. This college focuses more on education than entertainment. The scholarships are given to those with conditions approved.

The college if you just want to graduate .
Placements: About 80 percent of the people were placed, but most were placed in BPOs like Sutherland. The highest package was about 7 LPA, and the lowest was 1.9 LPA, even though the lowest package that happened in college was about 1.7 LPA. The top recruiter was Sutherland, even though they are a BPO. The college is not worth it if you're only looking for placement, as some companies refuse to even put their placements here.
Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi mostly had no internet, and the computers in the labs were barely functional; some were not even turning on. The classrooms were neat, but without proper placement of fans and such, it got really hot in the summer, and most teachers were fighting for the labs with AC. The hostel rooms were clean, but some of the showers did not work. There was also a washroom that leaked water throughout my stay at the hostel (3 years).
Faculty: The teachers were mostly friendly, but the problem is the syllabus. I just don't see why I have to learn the architectural diagram and study the design of microprocessors like 8085, 8086, 8088, and many more. These microprocessors were out well before we were born and went out of production commercially too; it just seems like a waste to learn that, and that is a core subject for some reason. The exams vary in difficulty, and you can never tell if they will be tough or not (if you believe in a god, pray). The programming languages like Python were not discussed properly in the core subjects, and the only language you can properly learn is C. The pass percentage of this college was high; it scored the 14th rank in Kerala.
Other: There were not a lot of fests and such. The management always told us there was no money for such festivities, even though this money is to be collected from students. Most students come from the Thodupuzha region, and the atmosphere of the college is mostly calm with no political parties on campus. The main problem is that it felt like a school more than a college. After 4:30, the college buses start to leave the campus, and by about 5, the campus is completely empty except for the students in the hostel. I felt that the students on campus were there only because they were forced to attend classes and not for the enjoyment of coming to a college. I had a lot of hope in enjoying campus life, but most of the enjoyment was outside the campus (mostly through travel with friends). Overall, if you just want to study and graduate from a college near you, this might be a good choice. However, if you want to have a campus experience like you have seen and heard in movies and such, look elsewhere.

Good in terms of infrastructure, but not the best in placements and other facilities.
Placements: The number of companies selecting students for their field by campus selection has drastically decreased. A college where more than 10 companies were frequently taking students in has now been reduced to a mere 2–3 companies. Less than 10% have attained campus selection in the years 2022–23. The placements are very poor nowadays.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are facilitated with Wi-Fi and plenty of labs with systems for the functioning of all departments. No sports day is given as a day to enjoy the joy of sports. A well-kept library contains a plethora of books for young minds to get properly educated.
Faculty: The teachers appointed here have a mediocre level of education (B.Tech). Not the best in terms of teaching concepts. The given curriculum is somewhat relevant to the current scenario as it teaches modern technology applications such as VR, Blender, Unity 3D, etc. The exams are not the hardest in terms of difficulty.

Personally speaking I don't expect much from the college with the money im paying.
Placements: As of now, no batches have passed out yet so we cant official comment on the placement. The average salary would be around 4-30 Lacs. It all depends on your skills and the place you work at. The top recruiting firms include IBM, Amazon, Google, etc. But they don't come here for placements, expect smaller companies. The top roles offered are Data Engineer, Data Scientist, Analyst, AI Developed, Research Scientist, etc.
Infrastructure: The facilities are old. Almost everything is available but its damaged or old. But they are renovatting slowly and gradually. So I think it'll get better overtime. Funding is the major barrier for all that. To summarize it, the hostel is not to be recommended. Might as well stay at a PG nearby, you can find ones with much cheaper rent and food.
Faculty: The infrastructure of the course is terrible. But the ultimate blame goes to the university, not the college. Being a new course, the faculty are extremely hard working to catch upto speed on the new topics in AI. They are all new to the field as well but doing their best. Even though there are disagreements here and there, they are overall helpful in most situations and really do the work. I don't personally believe that the curriculum is good. Its too slow and packs a lot of materials you don't need. The first two years are practa waste of time. You only get into core subjects by 3rd year. So until then you have no exposure to the subject at all. The semester exams are actually easy if you study systematically. Most students only start a day before so that cant be blamed on anyone else.
Other: The course is just a huge value for money. That's the only good thing about it. Don't expect a campus life because you won't have one. The system is very strict. And most of us don't particularly like it at all.

Good placement-oriented college.
Placements: My course is Computer Science and Design, which has vast job opportunities based on the subject, as we can either get a job in the coding field or we can get a job related to the graphic designing field. The highest package for this course provided by our college is 80 Lacs per annum, and the lowest is 6 Lacs per annum.
Infrastructure: We got all the facilities like training for how to use the labs, and we have a lab for at least two subjects each semester for coding subjects so that we can get well-practiced for that. We get free Wi-Fi inside our college. We also have a normal library as well as a digital library.
Faculty: All the teachers are very supportive of the students, and according to that, all students get good marks in their examinations. The overall pass percentage of our college is 89%. Of course, our subject is an industry-ready subject, by which we will get good job placements.
Other: I chose this course because I love to do graphic designing as well as coding, but the coding part is where I have to build the skill. In our college, all the events like Onam celebrations, Tech Fest, Art Fest, etc., happen and are student-friendly.
