If you want to do architecture, then I suggest you opt for this college.
Placements: B.Arch is not a course where companies come and offer you a job. Some companies would come, but they are very less in number. You have to set up your own firm or work in some other firms.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure are good enough. Our department has huge classrooms of both air-conditioned and non-air-conditioned, and the furniture in the studio is quite uncomfortable. There is a room dedicated to the carpentry workshop, and we have a huge library at our college. Hostel facilities are average. We have a small health centre where you will be vaccinated, and there is also a big sports ground. Mostly, breakfast is south Indian food, and lunch and dinner are North Indian. Food is tasty.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified, helpful and approachable whenever you are in need. They are also very considerate towards students. You can get personal attention and feedback quite often, which helps you to improve your academics. The course curriculum is also interesting and relevant.
Other: Events keep happening all year round, and Aarohi is our annual fest. There are various clubs which you can join depending upon your choice. It is a good college for overall development.

Really good college and I enjoy.
Placements: For architecture we usually have very less placements because most students go for individual startups. Where as for those who go for placements gets a package of above 15-20k per month. Every year there are minimum two companies visiting college for placement in architecture and they recruit 8-10 students.
Infrastructure: The facilities in the college are well good and available. We have almost all the facilities that are need in a college. We have a huge library, a separate buildings for each department, with Wi-Fi labs, the food provided in the mess are qualitative and good. There is a big outdoor ground and as well as a big indoor stadium in the college. Overall infrastructure is good.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, there are almost 3-5 professors in each class. One main professor, two assistant professors. , and there are supporting Ph.D. staffs for a good transfer of knowledge. Teachers are well qualified and experienced. Course curriculum is new and updated very frequently.
Other: I love drawing and sketching so I chose this course, there are 80 students in our batch and the admission is through JEE Mains paper 2. there are a lot of events, fests and extracurricular activities in our college. The axis and the arohi are some of the major fests. The demerits of our college as I felt is the lack of time. We are actually having much works that we don't get much leisure time.

The review that you need to know about VNIT architecture. I would recommend you this college.
Placements: So, there are two types of placements. The first is the typical traditional way of getting placed through the college placement cell. In architecture at VNIT, 50 percent of students get placed for about 7 to 8 LPA in companies like L&T and other core sectors, and in the second type of placement, off-college placements, students got 10 to 12 LPA last year. Many students preferred higher education.
Infrastructure: The classrooms are really good, especially smart seminar rooms, which are fantastic, I love going to classes as it have superb air conditioners. Hostel rooms, in my opinion, is good, but for 2nd, 3rd and 4th year. 1st year hostel is fine, but you have more restrictions.
Faculty: Yes, architecture is hectic. I will assure you, and especially in NITs it will be. But to be frank, the curriculum is seriously good, but I feel giving notes and reference materials for courses can be more organized. The professors are really cool, and you would love being here.
Other: It is 100 percent worth it to spend your teen years here in a very vibrant culture—festivals, clubs, events, competitions, and whatnot; it is NIT. You have inter-NIT tournaments, free access to NIT and IIT tech, and cultural fests.

Had a great campus life and an excellent academic exposure.
Placements: According to my branch architecture, the placements are comparatively less. This is due to the willingness of the students to start their own firm. So many don't go for placements. When other factors of placements are considered, it is good.
Infrastructure: We have a good infrastructure. Hostels are newly built and have excellent facilities. Classrooms are connected with Wi-Fi of good quality. There is a sports complex other than the sports ground, where there is 4 badminton courts and other indoor games. Food provided is good and nutritional. Have a medical centre. Where we have enough medical advisors.
Faculty: Faculty members are well experienced and are professional in their subject. Only well qualified teachers are allowed as main professors in class. Assistant professors support and help the main professor as well as the students in understanding the concepts more clearly. Teachers are good enough to make us understand the topic well.
Other: The course is quite boring and needs a lot of determination. But we have more freedom than any other course in the classroom. Well the campus is lush green and have an excellent campus life. College is situated near the town, therefore have wonderful access to explore the place. Overall the campus life is excellent.

Architecture study should be more of a practical study rather than designing on computer.
Placements: Last year 2 out of 60 students were placed. There are no companies to place students. We need to work as an intern in a firm. Internships are mainly 80%. Placements are not guaranteed for architecture since it depends on our time invested in internships.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is not available for students. We sit on stools without backrest which is pretty uncomfortable. The drafting tables are comparatively in good condition. The classroom is spacious but then during lectures teacher's not audible due to lack of technology (mic system). The library is the best place in college. It has got a beautiful studious environment. Books are up to date. Although the number of books is less for the whole class to issue.
Faculty: Some of the teachers are the best in their field. Well Qualified. The course curriculum is not so up-to-date. Like architecture involves software which is not in our course. Students face a lot of people in learning software since timing is basically 8 am to 6 pm. So there is no time for self-study remaining time is invested in submissions.
Other: I chose this course because VNIT is known to be one of the good colleges for architecture in Nagpur. Architecture study should be more of a practical study rather than sitting in front of computer making design. More of study tours and visits should be conducted during college days. Events and fests are basically the most enjoyable times in VNIT. AAROHI, AXIS, CONSORTIUM are the main events of our college. Followed by college level events like Institute and department gatherings. Intercollege sports are also included. Like INTER-NIT sports competitions. VNIT campus is very beautiful. Lush green campus. The scholarship is provided for needy and intelligent students. Extracurricular activities include literary clubs and others like Cell, Mag. Com, NASA (for architecture students only).

Review of Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology.
Placements: You will have a good number of opportunities and decent companies for placements like L&T, vConstruct, etc. But placements are very less as compared to engineering stream. So the competition will be high for a limited number of companies as there are a high number of students in the department. Neither department nor college has taken any serious step to improve the placements for the architecture department for the last 20 years. Placements secretary of our department made enormous efforts as a team to improve the same, but there was no response from the management side. To acquire good knowledge, you are most welcome here. But if you are thinking of a job, maybe this is not a correct place.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure wise, the department is well-equipped with all the lab materials to provide a practical industry exposure. All the laboratories like designing, construction technology, climatology, building materials, urban design, AutoCAD, history of architecture, everything is well-equipped and guided well by the faculty. If the college takes some more efforts to improvise all the existing equipment that would be a great advantage to the student community.
Faculty: The course curriculum is well designed and followed thoroughly. Majority of the faculty members are very good at teaching. But at the same time, we need to bear with some faculty members. Student politics, faculty ego, all play some role here, especially with female faculty. So need to be careful with them.
Other: The college is around 8 km from Nagpur Railway Station and also well connected by roads. The college organises three major fests, namely, Axis as the annual day festival, Consortium as the annual management and entrepreneurship summit, Aarohi as the annual cultural festival. Every year, more than 10,000 students from around the country take part in every event.

    A:
    {Source: B.Arch students & alumni}

Here's a summary of what current students and alumni think:

Placements: Placements in the architecture department are relatively low, and most students opt for starting their own firms instead of seeking jobs. However, some students do receive placements, with packages ranging from INR15,000 to INR20,000 per month.

Teaching and Curriculum: Faculty members are generally well-qualified and helpful, providing personal attention and feedback. The course curriculum is interesting and relevant, although some students feel it could be more updated.

Infrastructures and Facilities: The college has good infrastructural facilities, including Wi-Fi-enabled labs, a large library, and comfortable hostels. However, some students find the furniture in the studios to be uncomfortable.

Campus Life: Campus life is vibrant, with regular events, festivals, and extracurricular activities. The college's annual festivals, such as AAROHI and AXIS, attract thousands of participants from across the country.

In conclusion, while B.Arch at VNIT Nagpur may present some challenges, it offers a good learning environment, supportive faculty, and opportunities for growth. For those interested in pursuing a career in architecture, this college provides a solid foundation. However, students should be aware of the limited placement options and prepare themselves for alternative paths.

No. Generally for getting a good branch in NITs that are out of home state 200+ is must. Since, you have two advantages, home state as well as OBC NCL be sure to at least score 150+ in JEE mains. You will get your desired branch in VNIT.
