Overall good but as Sangli is a rural area, you have less chances of industry exposure.

Placements: 100% chance to get placed in software companies like Accenture, Wipro, Infosys, etc. It is quite tough to get placed in a core company. 30-35% students get placed in core companies like SPCL, L&T, HCC, etc. The average package is about Rs. 3.5-4 lacs PA. The highest package is about Rs. 5.5 lacs PA offered by L&T.

A good option for those who are willing to adjust.

Placements: Placements in Walchand College of Engineering are better than most other colleges in Maharashtra with only a few exceptions. Placement season starts in June for the final year students. About 80% of students from CSE/IT are placed in the first semester of the final year. Many students even have multiple offers. I have 2 offers with a CTC of 9.5 lpa and 5 lpa. The highest CTC offered for the year 2016-17 is 14.3 lpa by BPCL. Many major companies like Symantec, Thoughtworks, Veritas, EMC, Barclays...

Very good infrastructure as well as campus maintenance. Good placements as per the reputation.

Placements: - Placement is very good for our batch and our senior batch also. - From our batch, there are 87% students placed and previous year, this percentage was around 91%. - This year, the highest package offered by BPCL (Bharat Petroleum Co. Ltd.) was 14.10 LPA. There are 3 students placed in BPCL. Lowest package is 3.25 LPA and the average package is 4.45 LPA this year. - Companies that visited our campus are like: Symantec, ThoughtWorks, Eaton Corporation, Agrostar, Josh Software, Siemens, 3Dplm so...

Very good college with good campus, intelligent faculty and fabulous campus environment.

Placements: Placements are very good and for computer science, placements are 100%. The lowest package was 4.5 LPA while the highest was 14 LPA. Companies like Amazon, Nvidia, Symantec, Thoughtworks, Barclays, BPCL, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, John Deere, IBM etc visit WCE every year. The above-mentioned companies also offer internships. Almost all students from CSE and IT go for the internship for at least 1 semester.

Good college, old city, good placement.

Placements: There is almost 100% placement for all the branches. TCS was with the maximum placement for all the branches, and big companies like TCS, Mindtree, Persistent, HCC, Mahindra, Kirloskar, Shapoorji Palonji, Symantec, L&T, AMDOCS etc come for placement. New names are added to the list every year. In my batch, the highest package of 11 lakhs per annum was offered by BPCL for the civil and mechanical engineering branches. For IT/CSE, 6 lakhs was offered by 3-4 companies. ...

Great placements, campus, clubs, but not in a big city.

Placements: The placement is quite good here and way better than most of the private colleges. For CSE/IT students, most of the students got placed, and the pay is quite decent too. The average package was at least 3.5 LPA granted and many dream offers are starting roughly from 4.25 LPA to 11.0 LPA.

Good in overall, best above all.

Placements: It has a very good placement history especially for the CSE and IT streams. The placements are up to 95%, and many MNCs and freelancer companies have been providing good chances of getting placed in one of them. Also, our TPO is very keen towards the students.

I graduated from WCE in the year 2015 and it was an awesome experience of 4 years About the Electrical Department, many of the professors are PhDs from institutes of national importance such as IITs and IISC. The control system and power electronics lab are well abreast with modern equipment where one can get hands-on experience of cutting edge technology. The campus is good but the administration is not up to the mark. Faculty is good especially for electrical department. Gym and sports facilities are good .hostel &mess facilities are poor. Infrastructure of the college is excellent and staff of the electrical department as well as of other departments are supporting in each and every activity.

It holds between 3-5 ranks in Maharashtra in government colleges because of its reputation. It is very good college if you want to take admission only in government colleges like COEP, VJTI & so on as WCE has less fees around 54k(in 2014). In short I am giving pros & cons about my college so it will be better for you all to analyze according to your requirements & need. Pros- 1. Big Campus. 2. This is one awesome College to be part of! Cool campus spread across 103 acres. Founded in the year of independence, it gained autonomous status in the year 2007. Placements record are really good. Computer Science Stream features almost 100% placements with reputed Companies like Nvidia, Symantec, ThoughtWorks, PubMatic, Infosys, TCS, and Cognizant etc. visiting the campus regularly. If you don’t get into IIT, NIT, CoEP, VJTI, and PICT, WCE is the best option.

It's constantly changing for better. 2) Extra-curricular activities: - You have here 12 months* 24 hours activities going on. There are the usual students' associations, ACSES (Association for Computer Science and Engineering Students) and all other technical clubs for all departments. The other non-technical clubs are Rotaract C...

Pros : The Walchand College of Engineering has a big brand name firstly. Electronics is one of the reputed branch here, the faculty is good too. Infrastructure wise college has all the amenities but Sangli city lags for city advantage(Not much significant though). The placements are good but not as great as they are at COEP. 90% people get a job after their B.Tech. The crowd consists of inspiring & brilliant technocrats who ramp up higher even after their Bachelor's. I also would new students to...

Walchand is one of the best colleges of Maharashtra. It is located in Sangli. Campus is good around 90 acres. Staff in college is very experienced. Placement is up to the mark, around 95%. There are various clubs which are helpful in enriching extra-curricular activities, sports etc. On the negative side - I found lack of metro-politician touch.
