World University of Design Hosts A Quirky Fashion Themed 'BULUGU goes POP'

May 30, 2022: Students at the World University of Design herald a new era of fashion in which minimalism and sustainability are paramount. On Saturday, May 28th, 2022, students from the university's Fashion Club, called F3 (F Cube) – the club of edgy young students of Fashion Design, will put on a funny fashion show with the theme 'BULUGU goes POP,' which will be held in Delhi's fashion mecca DLF Avenue, Saket.

F3, a group of edgy young students from WUD's School of Fashion Design, has come up with a whimsical concept called BULUGU, which means "blue" in Telugu, and will feature out-of-the-box fashion concepts by young designers centred around "peppy blues" and "boho denims." The performance will be draped in blue and include pupils sashaying down the runway with blue-painted faces, motivating the audience to be inspired by their ingenuity. The event strives to welcome new chances and mould fashion to meet the needs of the moment — meaning that standing out does not require rapid fashion, but rather creating it in line with the planet's decreasing resources.

The university ensures that its students stay connected to their values and identify not only with opportunities ahead of them but also with ethical ways of doing so by providing avenues for them to enrich their skill set and imbibe from the vast plethora of knowledge base that World University of Design provides. Bulugu is taking shape, and the students are here to make their mark and demonstrate that they are more than just Gen Z.

Apart from being a striking fashion statement, the presentation is aimed to make every hot stepper who enters DLF Avenue turn once to revel in the deep thinking Bulugu holds. The fast-paced fashion industry necessitates mass production, and the F3 Club is here to change that mindset for the better. They are here to say that fashion may be simple yet appealing!

Fashion Collection By 7th Semester Fashion Design Students

December 12, 2021: A graduating fashion designer's ability to create a range from a central idea or topic is an important characteristic that all future employers look for. A range is essentially a collection of looks that all fit into the same subject, each with its own distinct point and pricing. A range helps you to see how the components will work together, mix and match, and contribute to the overall aesthetic at a glance.

Sharing a collection created by one of our Fashion Design students in the seventh semester.

The campus had good infrastructure and facilities.

Placements: Placements were just started from the year I enrolled and many good companies showed up for campus placements. Your overall performance matters alot for the placement. Rest, they don't assure your placements but the company comes to hire you. Do visit the campus before you enroll.

Good Course, but dull college.

Placements: For Animation and Game Design, in recent years, the top recruiters have been Rockstar India and Ubisoft India. There are various roles offered, from 3D modeler to generalist to rigging artist and animator (all junior levels or interns). The highest package that I know of is 14 LPA (outside Animation and Game Design).

Placements: More than 50% of the students can get placed from our course. The highest salary package offered in our course was 6 LPA, and the lowest salary offered starts from Rs. 5,000 per month. Asian Paints is the top recruiting company for our course. I am in my first year, so I don't know about the percentage of students who got internships from our course. Top roles offered in our course are interior and spatial designer, lighting designer and visual merchandiser.

A place to start your design journey.

Placements: I'm an animation game design student currently in my 2nd year; internships and placements are offered in my 3rd and 4th years. I have heard about companies like Rock Star, Ikarus 3D, Amazon Game Studios, etc. coming to our college and many more game development studios. Looking over the lucrative game industry In India, good jobs are hard to find and at the end of the day, it all depends on your portfolio. The college is trying their best to bring companies on campus but if one's portfolio isn't...
