National Institute of Design (NID) will announce the NID DAT result 2021 for Prelims paper anytime soon in the next week. The result will be announced for both BDes and MDes courses offered by the institute.
It may be noted that NID Prelims result is usually released by National Institute of Design in April/May. However, this year there has been a delay in the NID Entrance Exam result. An official notification released recently by the institute reads, βThe DAT Prelims results of BDes and MDes programmes will be announced in the first week of June 2021.β

How to Check NID Result 2021?
As and when released, NID Result for Prelims will be available for download on the official website of the exam. Candidates will be able to download their result for BDes and MDes by following the steps mentioned below:
- Visit the official website - https://admissions.nid.edu/NIDA2021/Default.aspx
- Click on the result link
- Enter email ID, date of birth and given verification code
- Click on Submit to login
- Check, download and print the NID Entrance Exam result 2021
All candidates who clear the Prelims paper and will make it to the NID merit list 2021 will then have to appear for NID DAT Mains. NID Mains 2021 exam will include a studio test and a personal interview round for BDes candidates and a Design-specific test for MDes candidates. For BDes courses, the NID DAT Mains will hold 30 per cent weightage in the exam against 70 per cent weightage of Prelims. For MDes courses, NID DAT Mains will hold 40 per cent weightage in the exam against 60 per cent weightage of Prelims.
Candidates making it to the NID merit list for Mains paper will then be offered seats in colleges accepting NID Entrance Exam scores 2021.
