If you are appearing in the NIFT 2025 exam, one question that may have crossed your mind is the seat matrix at the participating colleges. It is pretty normal, as the seat count is directly linked to your prospects of getting admission.

The NIFT entrance exam is conducted to shortlist aspirants for admission in design courses offered at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) campuses.

NIFT 2025 exam written exam will be conducted on February 9, 2025. The GAT written test was conducted in a computer-based mode, while the CAT test was administered offline.

The National Institute of Fashion Technology Kolkata accepts NIFT entrance exam scores, followed by a counselling process for admission to design courses at the UG and PG levels. NIFT Kolkata cutoff 2024 was released up to Round 5 wherein the closing ranks ranged between 504 and 2653 for the General AI category candidates. So, considering the last round cutoff, candidates seeking admission to NIFT Kolkata must secure a rank up to 2653 for the General AI category.

Yes, you are eligible to apply fir NIFT Kannur if you have score 75% in your Class 12 boards. The minimum eligibility required for applying to the institute is Class 12 or its equivalent from a recognised board. However, candidates should note that the selection to NIFT Kannur is entirely entrance-based for its courses. Applicants must clear the cutoff released by the institute to secure their admission. Q: How much should I score to get NIFT Srinagar for B.Des?

The National Institute of Fashion Technology Srinagar accepts NIFT entrance test scores for admission to design courses at the UG and PG levels. NIFT Srinagar cutoff 2024 was released upto Round 5 wherein the B.Des closing ranks ranged between 3006 and 4095 for the General AI category candidates. So, candidates seeking admission at NIFT Srinagar must secure a rank upto 4095 to be eligible for B.Des course.

NIFT admissions 2025 will be a two-tiered process wherein aspirants need to first clear the written tests (CAT and GAT).

Shortlisted candidates have to next appear in a Situation Test/Personal Interview.

Q: Who is eligible for MDes at NIFT Kannur?

For MDes admission, a candidate should complete and passed a bachelor's degree programme from a recognised university in the relevant stream. The candidate should hold the valid degree and mark sheets as well. These documents can be required for submission during form filling or admission confirmation for details verification.

Q: Can I get NIFT Delhi without an entrance exam?

No, the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) only offers admission basis of candidates' performance in the NIFT entrance exam. Conducted by NIFT Delhi, the National Institute of Fashion Technology entrance exam is the only accepting exam for admission to NIFT Delhi for several UG, PG and UG Diploma courses. The final selection is based on Situation Test and Personal Interview.

Q: Can we join BDes at NIFT Chennai without entrance exam?

Joining NIFT Chennai's BDes programme without entrance exam doesn't seem like a possibility. As per the Institution's admission guidelines, candidates must appear for the qualify The National Institute of Technology (NIFT) exam. The exam is conducted once every year and has TWO parts:

Written Exams - It comprise the GAT and CAT. The GAT paper is mandatory for all programs, while only B.Des and M.Des candidates need to take the CAT.
Situation Test/ Personal Interview - B.Des candidates who get shortlisted have to appear in the Situation Test.
