Delhi University conducts webinar for visually impaired students on COVID-19
Delhi University has conducted a webinar on coronavirus, to help visually impaired students.
To help the visually impaired students to deal with their problems during this lockdown period, Delhi University has conducted a webinar on COVID-19.
Delhi University has more than 3,000 students with disabilities. The webinar titled' COVID-19 and the Challenges of the Visually Impaired'. The University is planning to make a policy document concerning interventions required for visually impaired students. The document will be circulated in the public domain for implementation, the varsity said.
Talking about the webinar, Yogesh Tyagi, Vice-Chancellor (DU) has assured the visually impaired students and the faculty members that the university is making every possible effort to address the problems faced by them with respect to academic and other issues due to change in content-delivery methods. The varsity is trying to deal with the situation with utmost sensitivity.
The varsity has also started online classes to help students study and complete their courses during their stay at home. Earlier, the university had announced that it will remain shut until April 14, however, with the extension in the lockdown period, it will now remain shut until May 3, 2020.
The University had also announced that for the academic year 2020-21, the Delhi University Entrance Test (DUET) has been put on hold until further notice.

The Delhi University had also asked granted access for teachers and students to access the Library resources from home by providing a VPN connection. The varsity had also released list of online platforms and services for teaching and various learning resources.
