The Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad Centre for Healthcare Entrepreneurship (CfHE) has invited applications for the fellowship program focused on universal healthcare solutions with training and incubation opportunities.

The Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad Centre for Healthcare Entrepreneurship (CfHE) has invited applications for the fellowship focused on universal healthcare solutions with training and incubation opportunities. The number of fellowships to be offered by the institute this year is 25.

The fellowship will provide a monthly stipend of Rs 50,000 during the first year of training.

Talking about the CfHE Fellowship, Professor B.S.Murty, Director, IIT Hyderabad, said “With research in Biomedical Engineering and a lot of faculty from various departments engaged in interdisciplinary research in allied areas, it was only appropriate to identify healthcare as the theme for this endeavor.”

The fellows will undergo intense clinical immersions in both private and public hospitals. The faculty at IIT Hyderabad will also teach the bio-design process to the fellows. They will also have access to the mentors, industry professionals, and investors besides advisors.

 The candidates can apply for the fellowship on or before May 30, 2020.

Selection process for the CfHE fellowship:

Step 1: An online test to check general aptitude, skills and entrepreneurial orientation of the candidates

Step 2: A hackathon, whose details will be soon announced by the institute. 

Candidates who will be shortlisted after the above two steps will be called to IIT Hyderabad to appear for step 3

Step 3: A 3-day process where candidates get the opportunity to take part in a mock drill which includes need analysis, problem statement, ideation, proof of concept and market analysis.
