The ultimate goal of higher education at large is to modestly train students to achieve success in their future careers. Facing a certain level of academic rigour and learning important life skills are the crucial aspects of career preparedness that concern students.
That’s where things like job shadowing, internship opportunities and even some full or part-time jobs come into the picture. At Arya Institute of Engineering and Technology, experiential learning is prioritised, requiring students to participate in one or another sort of internship. Some internships may offer monetary compensation to the students. AIET faculty thoroughly helps the student to apply for an internship of his/her interests.
Summer Internships
The primary objective of the Summer Internship is to understand and apply the learned theoretical concepts in a practical environment and inculcate in themselves a better comprehension of the professional and corporate environment.
At Arya, there is a designated Placement and Training Cell which organises and coordinates the Summer Internship Program by inviting the companies to recruit students. Every student has an industry expert to help him/ her choose an internship organisation. The progress and performance of the student intern are monitored through a Weekly Performance Chart (WPC) regularly. An Evaluation board consisting of four to five members analyse the performance of an intern through industry presentation.
The summer internship is an integral part of the academic curriculum of the course and contributes a great deal toward professional development and corporate exposure.
Internship in the Final Year
Engineering students intern with companies for a period of four to six months in their eighth semester with the prospect of conversion to full-time offers. This is a win-win situation for both the organisations and students.

Internships And Training
Summer training, compulsory internships, ‘On-the-job’ internships, skill enhancement events, workshops and study tours are extensively integrated into the curriculum. These internships encourage students to apply their learned pragmatic knowledge from their training in real-life situations and expose students to the real work environment.
On-site experience has been beneficial for students through industry internships/ training in corporate giants like JCB, TCS, Tata Motors, JBM and Infosys to name a few.
Industry Projects
Arya Institute of Engineering and Technology offers many opportunities for students to work hand-in-hand with industry in Entrepreneurial and Live projects.
Industry projects help students to get ready and competitive for the real world and learn insights about the latest trends in the corporate world.
Types of internships
1. Internships with stipend- Internships are offered in a wide variety of industries and firms. A summer internship may be paid, or unpaid. Usually, these interns from top Engineering Colleges in Jaipur are paid on a monthly basis. Paid internships are mainstream in professional fields.
2. Virtual Internships- In this kind of internship, interns from the list of engineering colleges in Jaipur work remotely and are not present at the job venue. It is crucial, as it provides the opportunity to gain job experience without the requirement of showing up at work in person. The internship is completed virtually via means of email, web, phone, etc. Virtual interns have a chance to work at their own pace.
