JEE Advanced 2020 Paper 1 Analysis by experts is as follows:

Paper 1 had a total of 54 questions of 198 marks.

  • Section 1 for each subject had six questions of the single correct answer type, +3 for every correct answer and -1 for a wrong answer.
  • There were 6 MCQs in Section 2; each correct answer gets +4 marks and a negative mark of -2 for wrong answers.
  • Six questions in Section 3 were of the numerical value kind of +4 marks each, with no negative marking.

  • In Paper 2, only Section 1 differed from Paper 1, in which 6 Integer Value types questions were asked; each correct answer was given +3 marks, and the wrong response was given a negative mark of -1.
  • There were 6 MCQs in Section 2; each correct answer gets +4 marks and a negative mark of -2 for wrong answers.
  • Six questions in Section 3 were of the numerical value kind of +4 marks each, with no negative marking.
