JEE Advanced 2021: Education Minister to announce dates on January 7
The education minister will announce the JEE Advanced 2021 exam dates on January 7. He informed about the same through a tweet from his official Twitter handle. Read on to know details.
JEE Advanced 2021: The Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ is going to announce the exam dates for the exam on January 7. Nishank has tweeted about the same on his official Twitter handle.
Along with the JEE Advanced 2021 exam dates, the minister will also announce the eligibility criteria for the admission to Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). Candidates can check the Education Minister's tweet below:

JEE Advanced is the exam conducted by every year by one of the seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) namely IIT Kharagpur, IIT Kanpur, IIT Madras, IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati, and IIT Roorkee or Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore under the aegis of the Joint Admission Board (JAB).
Candidates must qualify JEE Main before appearing for the JEE Advanced. Through JEE Advanced, candidates can secure admissions to the following courses:
- 4-year Bachelors - BTech, BS
- 5-year BArch
- 5-year Dual Degree - BTech, MTech, BS, MS
- 5-year Integrated Masters - MTech, MSc, Dual Degree
Admissions to Bachelor’s, Integrated Master’s and Dual Degree programmes (entry at the 10+2 level) in all the 23 IITs, including the Indian School of Mines (ISM) are done based on ranks obtained by candidates in JEE Advanced.
The top 2.5 lakh score holders of JEE Main are eligible to appear for the JEE Advanced. The candidates who qualify the exam are only allowed to appear for the admission process of the IITs.
The counselling and seat allotment process of IITs is conducted by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA). The counselling process is conducted on the basis of candidates score in the JEE Advanced.
