JEE Main 2020: Fresh dates likely to be announced on Monday

Amid students demanding to postpone JEE Main 2020, the authorities are likely to announce fresh JEE Main 2020 exam dates on Monday i.e. June 22 as per media reports. An official announcement about the rescheduling of the entrance test is yet to made by the authorities. According to the reports, the Union Ministry of Home Affairs and Health Ministry had started internal discussions about the manner of all the national level engineering and medical examinations. 

“Many states are not in favour of conducting the CBSE examinations at all and have suggested that marking in the remaining papers be done on the basis of averaging of other papers and internal assessment done in schools earlier as calling students to examination centres amid a rising number of Covid-19 cases can be very risky,” an official said to the news media.

The JEE Main 2020 exam is scheduled to be held on July 18-23 in online computer-based mode. The JEE Main 2020 admit card is likely to be released by NTA 15 days prior to the entrance test. The National Testing Agency (NTA) had reopened the JEE Main application form for all the candidates from May 19 to 24, 2020.
