The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has started releasing round-wise JoSAA cutoffs for admission to BTech, BArch and other courses at IITs, NITs, IIITs and GFTIs. Candidates can check JoSAA 2021 Round 1 Cutoff at josaa.nic.in. Stay tuned for live updates. 

JEE Advanced has 107 participating institutes, including the IITs (Indian Institutes of Technology), NITs (National Institutes of Technology), IIITs (Indian Institutes of International Technology) and GFTIs (Government Funded Technical Institutes). Seat allocation and the course and institute are decided through JoSAA counselling.  

JoSAA 2021 counselling seat allotment result for Round 1 was declared on October 27 and JoSAA Round 1 cutoff was declared today (November 3, 2021). Candidates can check the results by visiting the official website.For each round, JoSAA will release cutoff in the form of opening and closing ranks. Aspirants can check the JoSAA 2021 cutoffs for the IITs below. It will help them get an idea about the minimum marks required for admission to IITs, NITs, IIITs and GFTIs.

What is JoSAA?

JoSAA has been set up by the Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD) to manage and regulate joint seat allocation for admissions to 107 engineering institutes. Admissions to all these institutes will be done through a single platform. The idea behind introducing a single counselling platform was to reduce thousands of seats going vacant in engineering colleges across the country. The joint seat allocation process was introduced to make the whole process of admissions smoother, effective, efficient, transparent and a lot faster.

Renowned institutes, including Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh; Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi; and International Institute of Information Technology, Bhubaneswar, also conduct their admission process through JoSAA counselling. To be eligible to participate in JoSAA counselling process, it is a must for students to appear and qualify either of JEE Main or JEE Advanced 2021.
