My Journey to Arya Institute of Engineering and Technology, Jaipur
What Made me Choose Arya College of Engineering and IT for BTech
Several reasons led me to choose Arya College of Engineering and IT as my college of choice for pursuing my higher education. One of the main reasons is the college has maintained its reputation for academics, particularly in my subjects. The college has maintained a good reputation in Computer Science and Information Technology field. Currently, I am pursuing Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, which is a specialisation in Computer Science.
The other reason is that the college provides good placement opportunities as well. Another main reason behind selecting this college was its affordability as I didn't want to be a burden on my family, financially.
While researching for colleges, I discovered the Shiksha website, which helped me by providing essential information about the college. Shiksha.com was a great resource for me, as it offered detailed information on the college's courses, faculty, infrastructure etc.
The Pink City Houses Arya College of Engineering and IT
Arya College of Engineering and IT is located in the City of Jaipur which is the capital of Rajasthan. The college is around 23 km away from the centre of the city. This is one of the disadvantages of this college. It's acceptable because it is not always possible to have everything at its best. But the college is easily accessible by road and is connected to the main transportation hub of Jaipur.
I will be graduating from my college in the year 2025. I'm working hard and dedicating a lot of time and effort to my studies. As I approach my graduation, I would feel excited about the possibilities that are ahead and the opportunities to apply the gained knowledge and skills. Currently, I'm in the second year, and this year if you are interested you can apply for the internships on your own. This can basically help you in gaining practical knowledge and experience that would be very helpful at the time of the placements. So according to me, the second year is for exploring new opportunities along with studying academic subjects.
Why I chose Artificial Intelligence?
It was never a difficult task for me while selecting the course for my higher studies as I always had an interest in the field of Computer and Technology. You have to assess your strengths and interests, I analysed my areas of academic strength and my passion for the field. Also, I focused on the skills that are highly demanded in the MNCs right now and will be in demand for a minimum of ten years. My teachers, family and some seniors also advised and supported me in my decision to choose AI for my graduation.
I want to work as a software developer in a reputed company and eventually, I want to develop a startup in the tech business. As my course is Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, the knowledge and skills that I can gain while studying this course are gaining high demand in big MNCs and this course is one of the most popular courses among tech companies.
From Adjusting to Enjoying the College Life
When I came to the campus for the first time, I was excited as well as nervous about the new environment. For the first few days, I was homesick but then I got involved in campus life; I made new friends and made connections with some senior students. Living on a college campus is great because you have the opportunity to learn from senior students. College life has some challenges like balancing academics and other activities, managing time for them effectively and dealing with the stress of exams and deadlines of assignments.
As I am in my second year and studying my desired course, this is great for me. I think I made a good decision by selecting this college. I'm not saying that this is the best college for higher studies, but every college has its pros and cons.
