Babu Banarasi Das National Institute of Technology and Management

This isn’t just a story. This is something related to a phase of life that we all go through.

Everyone has a unique talent and efficiency that makes him or her stand out from the others. However, it is also a sad fact that we follow the paths followed by others instead of creating a new path for ourselves. The only thing that we need to do to make a new path is find the field that we love.

Engineering is considered one of the best professional courses and a lot of people dream about it. However, with the decline in the rate of job achievement after completing engineering, there has been a negative outlook towards it as well. Now, it is your personal decision whether you want to follow the sayings or change the perception.

Being an average student, I didn’t get good grades. I used to think that if good students have to put in so much effort to get a job, where would I stand in the competition? I have a habit of reading and listening to success stories as they shows me the path to being successful in life. I make note of important things on paper and try to implement them in my life.

After completing graduation in BTech from Babu Banarasi Das National Institute of Technology and Management, I dreamt of getting a job in an MNC where I could show my skills and get success. But as it has been said, things don’t go as we assume they would, and that leads to depression and the thought of having chosen the wrong stream. I also developed a feeling that either the field has no scope for average students or colleges have been built to take money and give us the graduate tag.

All we need to do is to never underestimate ourselves, and also keep up the motivation through the success story.

My perception toward success and happiness was stuck to money rather than anything else. My college used to arrange personality development classes, of which, I hardly attended 2-3 classes.

However, a second of your time can be the way to making your greatest dream come true. I liked the way they motivated us and helped us develop confidence

After a lot of effort, I found a job in an IT company. According to me, it was the best day of my life from where on, every dream of mine would be coming true in the future. But things didn’t go well even when I had given all my efforts and skills for it. I felt it was surely a weakness if I was unable to meet the requirements. The whole phase repeated in my life. In the meantime, I started to write things that I had been going through, my life experiences.

From Engineering to Writing

One day, I suddenly came across the requirement of a content writer in a job portal. For the reason that writing was my hobby, I decided to give it a chance and attended the interview. Fortunately, I was selected and my senior taught me how to improve the writing skills and captivate the minds of readers with our thoughts.

I worked, I learnt, and understood that the IT field is not an inferior field, and that I could become a technical writer as well. This time, I didn’t think about the scope and followed the way and worked hard.

When I learnt almost all the skills, then I made a decision that I never thought of- I quit my job and kept on looking for clients. At the present time, with the grace of God, I am quite happy and satisfied with my job role. I have also developed a team of writers in order to change the perception that writing is not just a skill; it could be a great career option as well. I learned and attended various online classes for understanding the different aspects of content writing.

Some of the people still think “Is this something related to success?” Yes, of course. All you need is to have the knowledge and talent to understand the level of success in one’s mind. I don’t consider myself successful but at least I am happy that I found motivation within me, and took things to the right platform. All we need to do is to never underestimate ourselves, and also keep up the motivation through the success story.

I have written this article just to put my thoughts that in every field, we can grow. All we need is to find the profession that we love. Every story has a moral and as per my thoughts, self-confidence is the only way to be happy and successful. Our success is not meant to be measured by thousands of people; it comes from our intuition and satisfaction. Never lose hope and always try to find the best that is hidden inside you.
