JEE Main 2019 Dress Code - The National Testing Agency (NTA) is all set to conduct JEE Main 2019 on January 8 (Paper 2 for BArch), 9, 10, 11 and 12 (Paper 1 for BTech). Recently, the exam conducting authority released an advisory stating the do's and don’ts on the exam day. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), who conducted JEE Main till 2018, allowed only light sleeves and lose clothes to the test centre. However, NTA, who is holding the exam for the first time, has not released any such instructions.
The first ever exam that NTA conducted, after being established, was UGC NET 2018. Various newspapers reported that during the exam, female candidates were asked not to wear ‘underwired bras’ and avoid all kind of jewelry and clothing that had metal attachments. Hijab and other accessories too were prohibited to prevent cheating. Due to this, two female candidates were not allowed to appear for the UGC NET exam 2018 as they were wearing hijab. Thus, candidates should avoid wearing any piece of clothing that has metal parts or wear garments that cover the face.
