We all know how the whole world is facing many problems due to COVID 19. Every person is facing a problem that they cannot go to their working place or college/ schools. However, many people are working from home or students attending online classes. Our college has also taken an initiative in the same direction during the lockdown by conducting online training/ classes through Zoom platform which is a trending platform to communicate with people and share screen with other people, etc. Honestly, I am thankful to my college and staff members who are working hard to provide online classes so that the time of all the students are utilised productively and there is no gap in the studies.
To make every initiative worth during this lockdown, the teachers are taking attendance for every session/ class.
For example, if any student is not taking the online classes then the students would be marked absent. In case any student has some personal issue then they should inform their teacher before the class.
In addition to online classes, online study materials are also available on different platforms, all these resources are provided by our college staff members daily so that student would not get stuck in any topic related to their course syllabus. This is one of the great initiatives taken by our college and also, all the teachers are providing constant support to the students.
As far as the frequency of the online classes is concerned, two online classes are held every week, and the time duration of those classes are two hours each class and in that class, students could clarify their doubts. In addition to that, the assignments are given by our respective subject teachers based on their subjects. These assignments are given with a particular deadline so that the student give more time to studies and complete the assignment on time.
During this period, one thing that the students have learned is the skill of self-learning or self-study.
This self-learning skill is one of the most important skills for everyone which makes them self-reliant.
Another step that our college is taking for the students is that they are providing quarantine beds/ rooms facility to students. This is one of a great step or initiative taken by our college and I is also ready to fight against this pandemic situation.
