DASA PG 2025: Admissions for DASA PG are expected to start in the third week of June 2025. DASA is the Direct Admission of Students Abroad, a national-level annual admission process/scheme coordinated by the National Institute of Technology. Participating universities and institutes rotate DASA admissions. In 2024, NIT Raipur conducted the DASA PG, and NIT Calicut conducted the DASA PG 2023. Candidates who apply must complete and submit the DASA PG 2025 application form online.

What is DASA PG?

DASA, also known as the Direct Admission of Students Abroad scheme, allows foreign nationals, Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), Persons of Indian origin (PIOs), and Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs) to pursue technical education in India. The Ministry of Education first introduced the scheme in May 2001.

DASA allows students to be admitted to various undergraduate and postgraduate engineering programs at National Institutes of Technology (NITs) and other centrally funded technical institutions, excluding IITs. Through DASA PG 2025, admissions are provided to M.Tech programs of NITs, IIITs, IIEST, Central Universities, School of Planning and Architecture (SPAs) and other institutes. However, candidates must have a valid GRE (Graduate Record Examinations) scorecard to qualify for the program. Overall, the scheme aims to provide quality education in the engineering and technology field.

DASA PG 2025 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria are vital to the DASA PG 2025 admission process. Candidates willing to apply must check the requirements before applying. Here are the eligibility criteria for DASA PG 2025-

Nationality	Foreign nationals, PIOs, and OCIs who have completed their UG degree in any country or Indian nationals/NRIs who have completed their UG from abroad are eligible to apply.

Educational Qualification	Candidates must have passed an undergraduate degree program in engineering/technology or equivalent with a minimum of 60% qualifying mark or 6.50 CGPA from a recognised institute/university.
Accepted Entrance Test Scores	GRE/GMAT scores are considered. Candidates must have a valid total score of 300 on the GRE and 480 on the GMAT.
Final Year Students	Candidates accepting their final year results by September 30, 2025, can apply.

DASA PG 2025 Application Process

The DASA PG 2025 application form for the postgraduate courses will be released on the official website, dasanit.org, in the second week of June 2025. The mode of the application form is online and will be available along with the DASA PG information brochure. Before filling out the DASA PG 2025 online application form, it is essential to go through the eligibility criteria and instructions.

The application process for DASA PG comprises registration, filling out details, fee payment, uploading the photograph and signature, and submission. Candidates are advised to fill out the DASA PG 2025 form carefully; no application form correction facility is available.

DASA PG 2025 Application Fees

The registration fees for DASA PG must be paid online via SWIFT Transfer, E-Payment, NEFT, RTGS Transfer, etc. The DASA PG 2025 application fees are as follows -

DASA PG 2025 Merit List

No entrance exam is conducted to get admission through DASA PG. Candidates will be shortlisted solely based on their performance in the GRE or GMAT scores. The authority will prepare the DASA PG merit list for the candidates who have successfully submitted the DASA PG application form. Applicants can check the merit list online on the official website. The expected date of the DASA PG 2025 merit list announcement is the third week of April 2025.

DASA PG 2025 Counselling

The DASA PG 2025 counselling is expected to start in the fourth week of April 2025 after the merit list is released. Counselling is the last and final stage of the DASA PG 2025 admission process. It will be conducted online and apply only to candidates with qualified GRE/GMAT scores.

The DASA 2025 PG counselling includes various stages: registration, choice filling, choice locking, seat allotment, etc. There will be four rounds of counselling for undergraduate courses and two rounds for postgraduate programs. Candidates allotted seats to the DASA PG 2025 participating institutes must report to the respective institutions and pay the prescribed fees to confirm their admission process.

DASA PG 2025 Selection Procedure

Candidates who will be allotted seats in the first choice can perform any of the following options-

Accept - Candidates who are satisfied with their currently allotted seats are not willing to participate in further rounds of allotment.
Accept and Upgrade - Candidates who have accepted the currently allotted seats but also wish to upgrade to higher preferences of institutes in the further rounds of allotment.
Decline - Candidates who wish only to accept the allotted seats and want to withdraw.

Once the counselling session is completed, a provisional allotment letter will be issued for the candidates who have accepted the allotted seats. Candidates must sign the admission letter and submit it to the allotted institute at the time of admission.
