UPCET exam has been scrapped and has been replaced by other national-level exams such as CUET, JEE Main and NATA for admission into colleges affiliated with AKTU, MMMUT, and other state universities of Uttar Pradesh.
Postgraduation courses such as MBA, MCA, MTech, MURP, MPharm, MDes and MArch will be offered through the CUET PG exam. Integrated MBA and Intergrated MCA courses will be offered through CUET exam.
National Testing Agency will likely release the UPCET 2022 application form soon. Candidates can apply online using their login credentials. The application window will likely close in a month. The application process will involve registration, filling the application, uploading photographs and signature, payment of application fees and taking a printout of the confirmation page. Things to keep in mind while filling UPCET 2022 Application Form
- It is mandatory for candidates to mention their Aadhaar number in the application form.
- Candidates who wish to claim an advantage under a reserved category or sub-category should indicate it in the application form. However, such candidates do not need to send any supporting documentation to the university.
- Candidates should prefer filling out the UPCET application form on Internet Explorer 7 or above and ensure that they have high-speed internet, working on their PC/ laptop.
Steps to fill UPCET Application Form 2022?
The step-by-step process of filling the UPCET 2022 application form consisted of the following process. Since the application process is over, candidates can check the steps for reference.

Step 1: Registration
The first step for candidates applying for UPCET 2022 is to register at the official website. At this step, candidates will be asked to fill in their personal details, contact details and choose a password and security pin. Once successfully registered, candidates will be able to use these credentials to log in to the website. UPCET 2022 login credentials will be required by candidates at every stage from filling the application form to checking the seat allotment results.
Step 2: Filling the UPCET 2022 Application Form
To access the UPCET 2022 application form, candidates need to click on the relevant application form link on the official website of the exam. On clicking the link, a new page will open. Candidates need to click on the ‘Apply’ button followed by ‘Click Here to Proceed’. On clicking the button, UPCET 2022 application form will appear on the screen. Details that candidates need to fill on the application form are:
- Personal details: Candidates need to fill in all personal details such as name, father’s name, mother’s name, date of birth, nationality, gender, parent’s domicile, Aadhar number, address, mobile phone number, email etc.
- Qualifying exam details: Here, candidates need to enter details such as the name of the qualifying exam, year of passing, subjects in the qualifying exam, state from where the qualifying exam has been cleared, etc.
- Course: Candidates need to select the course(s) for which they are applying.
- Test Centre: The preferred test centre has to be selected by the candidates.
- Password: After all the details are filled in, candidates need to choose a password, which they need to remember till the admission process is over.
After all details in the application form are filled, candidates can click on ‘Edit’ to make changes to the added information or click ‘Submit’ and review the form. If candidates are satisfied with the details mentioned in the form, they can finally submit it by clicking on the ‘Final Submit’ button. It may be noted that once the form is finally submitted, candidates will not be able to make any changes to the information. After the final submission of the form, an application number will be generated that candidates need to note for future reference.
Step 3: Uploading Photo & Signature
Once the UPCET application form 2022 is submitted, candidates can proceed towards uploading the scanned copies of the required documents. It is not mandatory to upload scanned photographs and signatures or pay the application fee at the same time when filling out the application form. Note: Do not upload unclear or blurred photographs or leave any mandatory field in the application form blank. Error-prone or incomplete application forms will be rejected.

Step 4: Payment of UPCET Application Fee
Candidates can pay UPCET 2022 application fee in online mode via credit card/ debit card/ net banking/UPI.

Note: Candidates should not send the hard copy/ soft copy/ print-out of the confirmation page or any other document to the university.
Step 5: Downloading the Confirmation Page
After application fee payment is successful, a transaction number will be generated that candidates need to note for future reference. Also, a link will appear on the candidate’s screen, ‘Download Confirmation Page’. Candidates need to download the confirmation page and thereafter, take two printouts of the page and retain it for future reference."
Documents to be Preserved After Submitting the UPCET 2022 Application Form
Once UPCET registrations are over, candidates should preserve the below-mentioned documents:
- Copy of confirmation page
- Passport size photographs uploaded on the application form
- Original and photocopy of Aadhar card
How to Regenerate the Password and Application Number?
Candidates who forget their password and/ or application number can recover them by following the steps mentioned below:
Application Number:
- Visit the official website of UPCET 2022
- Click ‘Forgot Application Number'
- Enter name, father’s name, mother’s name, date of birth and security pin
- UPCET application number 2022 will be regenerated
Password:
- Visit the official website of UPCET
- Click ‘Forgot Password’
- Answer the security question
- On answering the question correctly, a password reset link will be sent on candidates’ registered email ID
- Candidates can click on the link to reset their password
UPCET 2022 Application Correction Facility
Registered candidates could access the UPCET 2022 application correction facility in online mode. To make the corrections in the submitted UPCET 2022 application form, the candidates had to log in using their application number and password. All of the details were not available for editing/correction. Personal details and exam centre choices were not open for corrections. After making the corrections, the candidates had to submit the UPCET application form.
