RRB Group D result is announced online separately for CBT, PET/PST and final selection. The result for each stage is announced on the official website of RRBs in PDF form. The result PDF displays the roll numbers of qualified candidates. The steps to check RRB Group D result are given below:

RRB Group D scorecard is released along with the result. Candidates need to download their scorecard by logging into their accounts with user ID and password. The scorecard display details such as candidate's name, roll number, registration number, raw score, pro-rata score, normalised score and qualifying status. Once the RRB Group D CBT result is announced to select candidates for PET round. In this round, the fitness of candidates is evaluated by the board. Candidates qualifying the PET are called for document verification and medical exam. PET is qualifying in nature and it is mandatory to pass it. Candidates are called for document verification as per their merit. Post document verification, candidates are called for medical.

RRB Group D result is announced online only. The result will be announced on the official website. To check the result, candidates need to enter the user ID and password. The hard copy of the result is not sent to canddates by post. The result displays the qualifying status of candidates for the next round.

In RRB Group D exam, there are 25 questions each in General Science and Mathematics. There are 30 questions in the General Intelligence and Reasoning and 20 questions in General Awareness and Current Affairs. We have provided below the topic-wise weightage.

‘Base Shift’ is a shift having the ‘the highest Mean’ (Average) among all the shifts of CBT with a condition that its ‘Present Candidate Count’ should be 70 per cent or more than the average of all shifts. In case the ‘the highest Mean’ of two shifts is the same then the shift having ‘the highest Individual Marks’ is considered as ‘Base Shift’.

In case both ‘the highest Mean’ and ‘the highest Individual Marks’ are the same then the shift having ‘the highest Present Candidate Count’ is considered as ‘Base Shift’ to break the tie.

RRB Group D result PDF comprises the roll numbers of the shortlisted candidates. RRB Group D scorecard carries the following details:

Percentile scores are scores based on the relative performance of all candidates who appear for the examination. The marks obtained are transformed into a scale ranging from 100 to 0 for each shift. The percentile score indicates the percentage of candidates that have scored equal to or below (same or lower raw scores) that particular percentile in that examination. Therefore, the topper (the highest score) of each shift get the same percentile of 100 which is desirable. In percentitle-based normalisation, the marks obtained between the highest and the lowest scores are also converted to appropriate percentiles. In case of two or more candidates secure same normalised percentile score, their merit position is determined by age criteria.

Yes, RRB Group D result is declared after the marks of the candidates are normalised using the equi-percentile method. The percentile score of each candidate is converted by RRBs into normalised marks by interpolation of the raw marks into the base shift. The calculation of base shift is done using the standard mathematical formula of interpolation. The purpose of interpolation of the raw marks into the base shift is done to decide the minimum qualifying marks as well as give weightage in marks to CCAA candidates. 

Yes, there are qualifying marks in RRB Group D exam. The qualifying marks for UR and EWS categories are 40 per cent while it is 30 per cent for OBC (Non Creamy Layer), SC and ST. Candidates need to secure both the qualifying marks and overall cut off marks. The category-wise qualifying marks in RRB Group D exam are given below.

The percentile score is the normalized score for the examination (instead of the raw marks of the candidate) and is used for the preparation of the merit lists. The percentile score of a candidate for a particular shift is calculated below:

Percentile Score=Number of candidates appeared in the ‘Shift’ with  raw score EQUAL TO or LESS than the candidate/The total number of the candidates who appeared in the ’Shift’ X 1000

The percentile scores for the raw score of all the candidates for all the shifts are merged and called the RRC scores which then is used for the compilation of results and further processing for deciding the merit allocation. The Percentile Scores will be calculated up to 5 decimal places to avoid the bunching effect and reduce ties.

In case of two or more candidates secure same Normalized Percentile Score, their merit position will be determined by age criteria i.e., the older person will be placed at higher merit, and in case age being same, then alphabetical order (A to Z) of the name shall be taken into account to break the tie.

RRB Group D exam is conducted to select candidates for Level 1 posts in Indian Railways. RRB Group D salary for all posts ranges between INR 22,500 to 25,380 depending on the place they are posted. The basic pay of RRB Group D employees is INR 18,000 as per the Seventh pay matrix.  RRB Group D salary serves as a motivation to lakhs of aspirants. Candidates selected through RRB Group D exam get in hand salary in the range of INR 25,000 to 27,000 as per the 7th pay commission. There is a negative marking in the RRB Group D exam. 1/3 of marks are deducted for wrong answers. Candidates for correct answers are awarded one mark. The total marks of candidates are calculated based on the number of correct and incorrect answers. RRB Group D marking scheme is given below.

RRB  Group D cut off is the minimum qualifying marks which candidates need to secure inorder to qualify the exam and become eligible for the next round of selection process. RRB Group D cut off is released in PDF form and comprises the category-wise cut off marks. There are no sectional cut off marks in the exam. The examination authority releases overall cut off marks for the exam. Candidates securing equal to or more than the cut off marks are selected for the exam. RRB Group D cut off marks are calculated out of 100 marks. There are various factors based on which the cut off marks are calculated. These factors are number of vacancies, difficulty level of the exam and number of test takers. RRB Group D cut off is calculated after the normalisation of marks.

RRB Chennai Group D cut off in 2022 for CBT exam was 94.06 for UR, 86.46 for SC, 81.40 for ST, 90.84 for OBC and 77.91 for EWS. The cut offs for different categories are given below.

RRB Chandigarh Group D cut off under open category for UR category was 98.35, 94.53 for SC, 89.09 for ST, 96.49 for OBC and 93.47 for EWS. RRB Chandigarh Group D cut off for 2022 is given below.

RRB Mumbai Group D cut off under open category for UR category was 96.76876, 91.14303 for SC, 85.68447 for ST, 94.56106 for OBC and 81.77030 for EWS. The category-wise cut off marks are given below.

Empanelling of candidates in RRB Group D exam is done based on their performance in CBT, subject to their qualifying in PET. The appointment is offered to selected candidates provided they qualify the requisite medical fitness test and document verification. In case two or more candidates secure the same marks, their merit position is determined by the age criteria. The letter of appointment is issued by the Railway Administrations. Appointment of selected candidates is subject to their passing requisite Medical Fitness Test to be conducted by the Railway Administration, final verification of educational and community certificates and verification of antecedents/character of the candidates. It may also be noted that all candidates successful in DV are sent for Medical Examination. The salary of Group D railway staff is decided by railway recruitment boards (RRBs). The RRB Group D Salary is part of the 7th Central Pay Commission's (CPC) Level 1 Salary. The salary structure of an Indian Railway Group-D staff is as follows: 1. The pay scale ranges between INR 5200 to INR 20200 2. The basic pay is INR 18,000. 3. The grade pay that Group D is entitled to is INR 1800. 4. They also receive House Rent Allowance, which varies by city and can range from 8% to 24%. 5. The dearness allowance of Group D is revised to INR 6,120. As a result, the starting salary for Group D staff at the junior level can be up to INR 27,920, excluding travel allowance.
