SBI PO Exam Centres 2024: State Bank of India (SBI) releases the list of SBI PO exam centres. The examination authority releases the test cities along with the SBI PO notification. Candidates need to choose one test cities each for prelims and mains exams while filling SBI PO application form. The prelims exam is conducted in 200 cities while the mains exam is conducted in around 70 cities. The details related to SBI PO exam centres are mentioned in the admit card. Candidates are advised to select SBI PO exam centres carefully as they cannot be changed after the final submission of the application form. Q:   How many exam cities can I choose to appear for the SBI PO exam?

A:

Candidates can choose one SBI PO exam city each for prelims and Mains exams. Candidates are required to enter their preferences of exam cities during application. The exam centres are allotted to candidates as per their preferences. However, in case of unavailability of exam centres candidates are allotted to the exam centre other than the one selected by them. There is no provision to change SBI PO test centre after the final submission of the application form. Therefore, candidates are required to enter their choices of exam centres while filling the application form. Candidates should choose the exam centres carefully as it cannot be changed later.

SBI PO Prelims Exam Centres 2024

SBI PO prelims exam is conducted in the following cities for the registered candidates. SBI PO exam patten is such that it comprises 100 objective-type questions and is divided into three sections. The total marks allotted to the prelims exam are 100. Candidates 10 times the number of vacancies are selected for the mains exam. The pre-exam training of SBI PO is conducted at the centres prescribed for the prelims exam. The pre-exam training is conducted for SC/ST/Minority candidates where they are explained regarding the pattern of the test.

How to select SBI PO Exam Centres 2024?

Candidates need to select one exam centre each for the prelims and mains exams. The interview, psychometric test and group exercises are conducted at some cities allotted for the mains exam. SBI PO exam centres can be selected while filling the application form. The steps to select SBI PO exam centres are given below:

  • Visit the official website of SBI
  • Click on the 'SBI PO Apply Online' link on the home page
  • Candidates need to first register for the exam by entering the basic details
  • Upload the scanned photograph and signature
  • In the detailed application form filling part, candidates need to select one exam centre each for prelims and mains exams
  • Candidates need to enter the educational qualification
  • Candidates need to upload the scanned left thumb impression and handwritten declaration
  • Preview the application form and submit it
  • Pay the application fees and take printout of the fee transaction receipt

  • The examination authority will not entertain any request for change in SBI PO exam centre
  • SBI reserves the right to cancel any of the exam centres or add some other centres at its discretion depending upon the response, administrative feasibility, etc
  • SBI reserves the right to allot any centre for the candidate other than the one opted by them
  • Candidates need to appear for the exam at the SBI PO exam centre at their own risk

Candidates should keep the authenticated prelims admit card and photo-identity proof safely because they will require it at the time of the Mains exam. Q:   Which are photo-identity proofs that I need to carry to the SBI PO exam center?

For verification, candidates need to provide anyone of photo-identity proofs such as passport,  PAN card, driving license, voter’s card, bank passbook, duly attested photograph/Identity card issued by the school or college/gazetted officer, Aadhaar Card. No, ration card is not considered valid photo-identity proof. SBI PO Exam Day Guidelines

Some of the SBI PO exam day guidelines are given below:

  • The reporting time of SBI PO is mentioned on the admit card. Candidates must reach as per their reporting times. Late comers will not be allowed to take the exam
  • Candidates need to affix their recent passport size photograph along with two additional photographs
  • SBI PO prelims admit card will not be collected at the exam venue. However, it will be duly authenticated/stamped by the exam officials. Candidate will need to retain the call letter (along with authenticated / stamped copy of the ID proof) safely. Candidates called for the mains exam will be required to bring both duly authenticated/stamped original prelims call letter along with the mains call letter and other required documents to the exam centre
  • Candidates must bring stationery such as pencils, ball point pen and eraser
  • Candidates must bring glue for pasting photos and ink stamp pad for affixing left thumb impression
  • The sheet for rough work will be provoded at the exam centre
  • Candidate registration will be done through photo capture
  • Travelling cost will not be provided

Q:   What are the guidelines related to SBI PO dress code?

A:

Candidates are advised to follow the following dress code:

  • Candidates must wear light clothes which cannot be used for hiding any instruments or communication devices
  • Candidates need to wear half sleeves but not have big buttons or any badge, brooches, etc.
  • Candidates must wear slippers/sandals and not shoes
  • Candidates wearing customary/religious dresses should report at the centre at least 20 minute prior to the reporting time for proper checking

The COVID-19 guidelines for SBI PO exam are given below:

  • Mapping of candidate’s roll number and lab number will not be displayed outside the exam hall but the same will be intimated to the candidates individually at the time of the entry of the candidate to the exam venue
  • In view of COVID-19 pandemic, it is mandatory to wear mask
  • Candidates can wear gloves and carry personal hand sanitiser of 50 ml
  • Candidates can also carry their personal transparent water bottle
  • Rough sheets should be kept at the desk of each candidate
  • Candidates must drop the rough sheets in the boxes provided at the exit of the lab/venue while leaving or at the designated place indicated by the exam officials
  • Candidates must need to submit health declaration form

Q:   What are the items allowed and not allowed inside SBI PO exam centre?

A:

Candidates must bring stationery such as pencils, glue, eraser, ink stamp pad and ballpoint pen with them to the examination hall. Any stationery items such as textual material (printed or written), bits of papers, geometry/pencil box, plastic pouch, calculator, scale, writing pad, pen drives, log table, electronic pen/scanner are not allowed. Any communication device such as bluetooth, earphones, microphone, pager, health band, etc. is not allowed. Other items such as goggles, handbags, hair-pin, hair-band, belt, cap, Any watch/wristwatch, camera, any metallic item, any eatable item opened or packed, water bottle (only transparent water bottle is allowed), etc. are not allowed. After displaying the health status through Aarogya Setu app, candidates are required to switch off their mobile phones and deposit them at the designated location. Candidates are advised to avoid wearing ornaments such as rings, earrings, nose-pin, chains/necklaces, pendants, badges, brooch, etc.

Q:   What is SBI PO Salary?

A:

The starting basic is INR 41,960 (with 4 advance increments). Candidates are also eligible for DA, HRA/Lease rental, CCA. Candidates also get Medical and other allowances & perquisites as per rules in force from time to time. In-hand salary ranges between INR 52,000 to 55,000 per month. SBI PO pay scale is INR 36,000-1490/7-46430-1740/2-49910-1990/7-63840. Candidates are selected to the post of  Junior Management Grade Scale-I. Selected candidates are required to sign a bond of INR 2 lakh, Candidates are required to serve the bank for a minimum period of three years. The officers will be on probation for two years. Candidates are selected on the basis of their performance in the prelims exam, mains exam, psychometric test, group exercises and interview.

After successful registration, the registration number and password are displayed. Candidates are advised to note down the same carefully and preserve it. If you do not preserve it, you will not be able to Re-Print the Application and download
the Call Letter, results etc.

At times due to poor internet connectivity SBI PO application form page takes time to load. Therefore, if you are not able to get the pages for registration immediately, please retry after a gap of 15 minutes or during off-peak hours in the night.

The window to edit SBI PO application form 2024-25 is available till January 16, 2025. Candidates can edit the details entered in the application form within the prescribed deadline. After this, the examination authority will not entertain any requests for editing of application form.
