SBI PO Notification 2024-25: Official Notification PDF Link

SBI PO 2025 notification was released on December 26, 2024. The notification was released in PDF form and comprises the details related to the exam. Candidates must read the notification carefully before applying. SBI PO notification is released to fill vacancies for the post of Probationary Officers. Lakhs of candidates every year apply for SBI PO exam. The selection process of SBI PO comprises prelims exam, mains exam, psychometric test, interview and group exercises. The prelims exam of SBI PO is qualifying in nature.

SBI PO 2025 application form was released on December 27, 2024. The last date to fill the application form is January 16, 2025. The application form was released online after the notification is published. Interested candidates need to fill the application form online. The application process comprises several stages which candidates need to complete successfully. Applicants are not required to sent the hard copy of the application form. The process to fill SBI PO application form 2024 are given below:

On completion of SBI PO exam, candidates are posted to the post of Probationary Officer. During this time, candidates will get a transfer at least thrice between the centres of training. This means there will be three transfers over the course of two-year probationary period. On completion of the probationary period, the officers need to appear for confirmation and promotion test to clear their probation. After passing the test, the probation is considered complete and officers are promoted to the post of Scale 2. candidates mainly get circles based on the circle they applied for before the selection process. Thus, a candidate may apply to a circle where their home town is, but is not necessary that they will get that circle.

SBI PO handwritten declaration is a text that candidates need to write in their own handwriting inorder to declare that the details provided in the application form are correct and valid. The handwritten declaration should be in English. The file should be in dimension of 800 x 400 pixels and the file size should be 50 kb to 100 kb. The steps to upload the handwritten declaration are given below:

SBI does not provide separate window to edit SBI PO application form. Candidates can edit the details entered in the application form within the prescribed application deadline. Request for change/correction in the data entered in the SBI PO application form is not entertained after it is finally submitted. Candidates are advised to fill up the online application carefully and enter the correct information in the application. Candidates can make changes to the application form before its final submission. Editing of SBI PO application form is allowed only thrice. Candidates need to fill SBI PO application form online. They are not required to submit the hard copy of the application form.

In the event of candidates not being able to fill the SBI PO application form data in one go, they can save the data already entered by using the 'Save' button. Candidates need to login with their required credentials to complete the application process. After registration candidates are required to pay the requisite application fee through online mode by using debit card/ credit card/ Internet Banking. The Mains exam of SBI PO is conducted in around 70 cities. The Mains exam comprises objective-type and descriptive-type questions. Total marks allotted to the test are 250. TheMainsexam is coducted for candidates who qualify the prelims exam. Candidates need to select SBI PO exam centre while filling the application form. The steps to select the exam centres are given below:

• Select one exam centre each for prelims and Mains exams

Candidates can choose one SBI PO exam city each for prelims and Mains exams. Candidates are required to enter their preferences of exam cities during application. The exam centres are allotted to candidates as per their preferences. However, in case of unavailability of exam centres candidates are allotted to the exam centre other than the one selected by them. There is no provision to change SBI PO test centre after the final submission of the application form. Therefore, candidates are required to enter their choices of exam centres while filling the application form. Candidates should choose the exam centres carefully as it cannot be changed later.

SBI PO prelims exam is conducted in around 200 cities. The prelims exam is conducted for all the registered candidates. The prelims exam comprises three sections. A total of 2000 vacancies were announced for SBI PO 2023 exam. The distribution of vacancies is given below.

In 2019, a total of 2000 vacancies were announced for Probationary Offices (PO) post. Out of the total vacancies unannounced, 300 are for SC, 150 for ST, 540 for OBC, 200 for EWS and 810 for general category candidates. There were no backlog vacancies unannounced in this year. In 2022, a total of 1673 vacancies were unannounced for SBI PO. A total of 648 vacancies were unannounced for General category, 160 vacancies were unannounced for EWS category, 432 vacancies were unannounced for OBC category, 120 vacancies were unannounced for ST category and 240 vacancies were unannounced for SC category. In 2021, a total of 2056 vacancies were unannounced. The number of regular vacancies were 2000. The total number of backlog vacancies were 56. SBI PO salary structure is given below. Basic Pay-INR 41,960 Special Allowance-INR 6,881 DA-INR 12,701 Location Allowance-INR 700 Learning Allowance-INR 600 HRA-INR 2,937 Gross Salary-INR 65,780 Deduction (PF/Income Tax/Professional Tax/Pension)-INR 12,960 Net Salary-INR 52,820. The initial basic SBI PO salary is INR 41,960 (with four advanced increments). This means PO gets a basic of INR 36000 with an increment of INR 1490 for the next seven years, followed by a basic of INR 46430 with an annual increment of INR 1740 for the next two years, and so on. The maximum basic salary will be INR 63840. The pay scale of a Probationary Officer/ Management Trainee is INR 36000-1490/7-46430-1740/2-49910-1990/7-63840. SBI provides an annual performance bonus to its employees, including POs, based on their performance during the financial year. The bonus amount is determined by factors such as individual performance, team performance, branch performance, and overall bank performance.

The examination authority decides category-wise SBI PO cut off marks to select candidates for the subsequent rounds of selection process. There is no sectional cut off marks. However, candidates need to secure the overall cut off marks as per their categories. There are no qualifying marks in SBI PO exam. Candidates need to secure the cut off marks in the exam as per their category. The question paper of SBI PO is made available in both English and Hindi. Candidates can choose the language of the question paper as per their convenience. The cut off is the minimum qualifying marks that candidates need to secure inorder to qualify the exam.

The preliminary exam of SBI PO comprises the English Language, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability. Total marks allotted to the test are 100. The duration of the test is 60 minutes. The prelims exam is only conducted to screen candidates for the Mains exam. The marks obtained in this stage are not counted for the final merit list. SBI PO marking scheme is prescribed by the examination authority. The scores of candidates are calculated as per the marking scheme. SBI PO marking scheme is given below:

• For incorrect answers, one-fourth of marks assigned to a particular question in the objective test are deducted as penalty to arrive at the corrected scores
• There is no negative marking for the subjective part of the Mains exam
• If a question is left blank, there will be no penalty for that question

The minimum marks to crack SBI PO exam isn't disclosed yet by the governing committee. It depends on the level of competition and the number of vacancies they have. Based on these, after the examination is over, the committee decides the cut-off level and sends notifications to the qualifying candidates informing them of further procedures. Reasoning Ability

This section can be tricky at times. However, with practice candidates can easily ace this section. Puzzles and Seating Arrangement are two important topics in the Reasoning section. Quantitative Aptitude

Maximum questions in this section are asked from data interpretation. Questions of Data Interpretation are usually based on basic calculations like Ratios, Proportions, Averages, Profit/ Loss, Percentages, etc. So, understand the basics of these topics properly. The prelims exam comprises objective-type questions from English Language, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability. The total marks allotted to the test are 100. The Mains exam of SBI PO comprises both subjective and descriptive tests. The objective paper carries questions from Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, Data Analysis & Interpretation, General/ Economy/ Banking Awareness and English Language. SBI PO admit cards for different stages of exams are made available online on the official website. Candidates need to enter the required login credentials to download their admit cards. The hard copy of the admit card is not sent to candidates by post. Yes, candidates need to affix photograph on SBI PO admit card and self-attest it. Candidates are also required to carry two additional photographs along with the SBI PO admit card. The photographs should match the one uploaded during filling the application form. SBI PO final merit list is prepared based on the marks obtained in the Mains exam and Group Exercises. The marks obtained in the prelims exam are not counted for the final merit list. The weightage given to the various phases of the exam at the time of preparing the final merit list is as follows:

To score 70 in SBI PO exam, candidates need to follow a proper study plan and stick to it. Candidates need to be strong in their basic concepts of Quantitative Aptitude, Logicial Reasoning, English/Hindi Language.
