DU Cut-off list likely to witness delay. Read further to know why.

The University of Delhi (DU) admission process is underway and the last date of registration is August 31. The DU's first cut-off list was expected in the first week of September. Rajeev Gupta, chairperson, admissions, had earlier announced that the first cut-off will likely release between September 7 and 10, 2021. However, with CBSE now conducting the re-assessment exam for Class 12th from August 25 to September 15, it is likely that the DU cut-off lists for admission will now be announced on October 1. With this, it is expected that DU will start the admission process on October 4. CBSE will be conducting the reassessment exam Class 12th exam for both regular and private students. Its result is likely to be announced by September 30.\

While speaking to an English daily. Pinki Sharma, dean of admissions, said, β€œWe are yet to confirm the dates. But it is likely that the cut-off list will come in October first week. There are several factors behind the decision, including CBSE improvement examination, multiple entrance examinations, and others that will end on October 1. Students often shift to other courses once their entrance results come in so we planned to start admission by October 4."

As per the UGC guidelines released earlier, all the Universities across India have been directed to complete the admission process by September 30 and begin the new academic session from October 1. The Delhi University has also reached out to UGC and informed about the CBSE 12th offline exams and because of that, it is expected that there might be slight changes in the date of the announcement of the final cut-off list.

CBSE is conducting the exams for all those students who are not happy with their CBSE 12th Result 2021 which was announced on the basis of CBSE evaluation policy formulated by the Board. These students can re-appear in the examination. All the papers of Class 12 CBSE offline exams for subjects including English Core, Business Studies, Political Science, Physical Education, Accountancy, Economics, Sociology, Chemistry, Psychology, Biology, Hindi, Computer Science, Physics, Geography, Mathematics, History and Home Science will be held for three hours duration from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm.
