IIT Madras has decided to postpone HSEE 2020 date due to the coronavirus outbreak. A new date is yet to be fixed by the institute. 

HSEE 2020 Admit Card and Exam Date

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras has decided to postpone the Humanities and Social Sciences Entrance Exam (HSEE) 2020 date due to the global pandemic known as COVID-19 (Coronavirus). IIT Madras has informed that a new date will be informed later. The HSEE 2020 exam which was scheduled to be conducted on April 19, 2020, will be postponed until further notice.

The HSEE 2020 admit card was to be released online on April 3, 2020. However, the release of the HSEE admit card is also set to be postponed. Earlier, the admit card was to be released on March 18, 2020, however, due to the outbreak of the pandemic disease, the date was shifted to April 3, 2020.

What is HSEE?

IIT Madras conducts the Humanities and Social Sciences Entrance Exam (HSEE) in order to offer candidates admission in five-year integrated Master of Arts courses offered at the institute. The first two years of the MA programme offered at IIT Madras are the same. However, after that the course branches into two streams – Integrated MA in Development Studies and Integrated MA in English Studies. Total number of seats on offer in IIT Madras’s MA course are 46 (each year).
