This is one of the oldest colleges in India and even today it maintains its legacy .
Placements: Good placements were offered to the alumni. They come back to college to share their experiences. We have an active placements department. Placements start at the beginning of last year. Accenture, DE Shaw are few to name. Students can opt for internships or full time jobs.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is great even though the buildings are 200 year old they're still v well-equipped with everything. The campus is very huge and in the heart of Pune. Hostel is average. I didn't have first hand experience in this but I've heard from other batchmates.
Faculty: Fergusson is known for its excellent faculty who have years of experience and knowledge in their fields. They keep on updating the curriculum to walk with the recent trends. Curriculum is dynamic and exams are student friendly. It's a pleasure studying in this college .

Bad placements in 2021. , good infrastructure and faculty.
Placements: There's no placement for B.A. B.Sc. however has about 5-10% of placement. There isn't much scope in psychology after B.A. most of the students go for a master's degree hence there's no placement for B.A. Psychology. There are some paid internships provided during the summer term.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is hands down the best. It gives a dark academia feeling. Although, the washrooms are very few and you have to go to another building just to go the washroom and it isn't very hygienic either. There are 2-3 canteens some expensive, some cheaper but a little unhygienic. Library is huge and is great.
Faculty: The faculty is good, they have good knowledge of the subject matter and they're good at imparting that knowledge. The teachers here encourage you to participate in extra curricular activities. The exams aren't tough if you have good conceptual clarity and have proper notes.
Other: Internet connectivity is bad since these are old stone buildings.

Satisfied with the experience.
Placements: A few people were placed but the jobs weren't necessarily related to Psychology. Since it was an Undergraduate course, it was acceptable. Master's is necessary for job placements so it was acceptable for the placements being a little unrelated to Psychology.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is satisfactory. Improvements can be done. A few important improvements can be the ventilation and fans being taken care of. Walls being painted as people have written all over the walls. Better washrooms for both the genders. Drinking water.
Faculty: The faculty was experienced and cooperative. Knowledgeable and esteemed faculty taught us in a very innovative way. Curriculum was excellent and practical knowledge was also given importance. Internships which were co-curricular we're offered on merit.

The Horror that is Fergusson College, Pune.
Placements: There was no official placement process that was offered to B.A students as part of this course. The Placement Cell in Fergusson College is largely redundant, and almost no companies came for any sort of placement or campus hiring. Also, there was little help provided along job opportunities post our graduation. In fact, we were on our own when it came to internships as well. Many took paid internships - however, here, it meant that they had to pay for the privilege of interning at the mental health organisation. Jobs after a B.A. in psychology are limited, but not as limited as we were made to think, and with negligible support from the placement cell, we had no one to orient us in the right direction.
Infrastructure: The facilities at Fergusson college are poor at best. To be more specific, the male bathroom is almost non-existent, with most of them locked or so dirty that you would rather not use them. One male washroom had dogs excreting in it on a very regular basis. Bathrooms are rarely cleaned, and when done so, are done with the least vigour possible. Coming to the psychology department, the tools for experiments are old, and many are broken, there are small, cramped cubicles and no Wi-Fi access. The library is an age-old monument where boys and girls are made to sit separately on tables riddled with pigeon excreta. Also, many classrooms have leaking roofs or pigeon nests, to the extent that one of our batchmates had a pigeon do his/her business on his exam paper. The desks are a mess, the chairs are terrible, and most classrooms don't even have fans or running electricity. The Hostel rooms paint a sadder picture, with the lack of sunlight and the cramped interiors. For all 5 of my years spent in the college (2 in junior college and 3 in graduation), we always signed a petition asking for better sanitation and teaching facilities but very never entertained by the principal or the Deccan education society authorities.
Faculty: I studied in Fergusson College because they received academic autonomy, and to say the least, the syllabus was outdated, using a book in the third year that was last published 20 years ago in 1995. Most of the teachers are not motivated to teach, grown tired by the repetitive cycle of dealing with authorities and struggling with the outdated syllabus that is aeons behind what is taught and further behind what is practised. We had to do statistics by hand in 2015, and I don't mean averages and percentages, but ANOVAs and Regressions. Also, the few teachers who were truly inspiring and went beyond what the rudimentary syllabus dictated were penalised rather than encouraged, which is an absolute shame. The state of Fergusson college is also a reflection of how the university works - an ancient system so stagnated by egos and internal politics that it is the students who suffer the most.
Other: There is a yearly event, where various departments have their Fests. However, this is often disrupted by goons who wish to run their event for their interests. To this end, the college does absolutely nothing to protect its students.

The best faculty with great learning
Placements: There were no placements in our college. Since it is an arts college, hardly any companies are interested in placements. Also, there is a diverse range of subjects taught including several languages, which make it even more difficult to bring companies.
Infrastructure: There was no Wi-Fi and no computer labs which were accessible to us. The infrastructure was good but getting old and need repairs. The classrooms are outdated, with an age-old infrastructure, broken windows, etc. There are no facilities provided. The campus is huge but poorly maintained.
Faculty: The faculty members were the best part of the college. The sessions were interesting and great teaching methods. Although the course is out of date, since the college has become autonomous, there is a scope for improvement. Faculty members do the best they can with the available resources.
