Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) to reopen application window from August 14 onwards| Check Details

The Aligarh Muslim University has decided to reopen the application window so that students can apply for admission to its various courses which are offered at the renowned varsity. Due to the impact of COVID-19 (Coronavirus), the varsity has decided to reopen the admission portal where students who have not yet applied for admission, can do so. The application window will open from August 14, 2020, and will close on August 21, 2020, except for BTech and MTech courses. The last date to apply for BTech and MTech is till August 28, 2020.

The varsity has also introduced new courses of studies such as BTech in Food Technology and MTech (Civil Engineering) in Earthquake Engineering & Disaster Management. Here is the notice released by AMU.

Students can apply online and admission to all courses is done through the AMU Entrance Exam. Candidates who clear the written test and make the list, are required to appear for a Personal Interview (PI). Candidates who clear the two rounds, are offered admission to the course applied for at the varsity.

How to Apply for AMU Entrance Exam

Candidates can go through the following steps on how to apply for the AMU Entrance Exam which is as follows:

Step 1: The candidate will first have to visit the official website of Aligarh Muslim University.

Step 2: The candidate will have to click on ‘Admissions & Examinations’ tab which will be present on the portal.

Step 3: Click on ‘Apply Now’ for the course you are interested in.

Step 4: The candidate will first have to register themselves online by entering the basic details to create a login ID and password.

Step 5: Once the registration is done, proceed to fill the AMU Entrance Exam application form by entering your personal and academic details.

Step 6: Upload the documents according to the size and dimensions mentioned on the AMU Entrance Exam application form.

Step 7: Once the details are filled and documents are uploaded, the candidate has to proceed to pay the application fee via online mode i.e. net banking/credit card/debit card.

Step 8: Once the payment is made, the candidate has successfully applied online for the AMU Entrance Exam.
