CLAT 2020 application process has begun in online mode today. The CLAT Consortium has also shared the question paper format of the upcoming examination. Read below to know more.

CLAT 2020 applications open now

The online application forms for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) has begun on the official website of CLAT Consortium. The online registration window has been opened around 2 pm at https://consortiumofnlus.ac.in and the candidates can apply before March 31. Moreover, the Consortium has also announced the detailed exam pattern of CLAT 2020 including sectional weightage.

NLU Ranchi (NUSRL) - National University of Study and Research In Law will conduct CLAT 2020 on May 10 in pen-paper based test mode. Candidates who will register successfully before the last date will be issued admit card for CLAT 2020 by the first week of May. 

How to register for CLAT 2020?

The online registration can be done is simple steps as mentioned below:

  1. Visit the website of Consortium or click here – CLAT 2020 Application Form
  2. On the official website, click on ‘Register’ in the login window
  3. A popup form will be open up asking details including, Name, Mobile Number, and creating a password
  4. After filling the details, click on ‘register’ and an OTP will be sent on the mobile number
  5. To activate the account, candidates have to put the OTP in the verification box
  6. A message of ‘account activated’ will be displayed on the screen

To fill the application form, candidates have to log in with their mobile number and password. Besides, filling up the form candidates should check the CLAT Eligibility 2020 including age limit, educational criteria and minimum qualifying marks.

Earlier, the consortium has announced changes in the exam pattern of CLAT 2020, below is the sectional weightage published today:

Sections

Number of questions per section

English Language

28-32 ques (roughly 20% of total 150 questions)

Current Affairs, including General Knowledge

35-39 ques (roughly 25% of total 150 questions)

Legal Reasoning

35-39 ques (roughly 25% of total 150 questions)

Logical Reasoning

28-32 ques (roughly 20% of total 150 questions)

Quantitative Techniques

13-17 ques (roughly 10% of total 150 questions)

The consortium has also elaborated the syllabus and shared sample papers for CLAT 2020. To score well in the upcoming examination, candidates should practise well with the help of CLAT 2020 sample papers and mock tests.
