The University of Rajasthan (UniRaj) is conducting URAT PG 2023 in a offline test mode across various test centres in Rajasthan. Those appearing for the URAT PG 2023 entrance exam for admission to postgraduate courses at colleges of the University of Rajasthan, must be aware of the exam day instructions, and important documents to carry along to the test centres. Candidates should do an analysis of their preparation by taking URAT PG mock tests to check their strengths and weaknesses. Q:   Who is eligible for MA in Rajasthan University?

A:

Eligibility for MA in Rajasthan University: To be eligible for the MA programme at Rajasthan University, candidates must have completed their BA with a minimum aggregate of 48%, or they should have a minimum of 55% in the discipline of post-graduation. Alternatively, candidates can hold an equivalent degree recognized by UNIRAJ with at least 55% aggregate. Admission to the MA program at UNIRAJ is based on fulfilling these minimum eligibility criteria and successfully completing the university's in-house entrance test, URATPG, which is mandatory for all eligible students aspiring to pursue an MA degree at the university.

Q:   Can I do MBA from Rajasthan University?

A:

Through RAPIM, a part of Rajasthan University, UNIRAJ provides MBA programmes.  A total of 120 students are enrolled per year and the admission is based on performance on either the PIM-MAT or URATPG entrance exams, with the exception of the PhD track. A bachelor's degree with a minimum cumulative GPA of 45% is required for the Human Resource Management course offered by UNIRAJ, which also provides specialised MBA programmes. Overall, UNIRAJ offers MBA programmes with different, well specified selection criteria based on specialisation.

URAT PG 2023 Exam Day Checklist

Candidates should be prepared for the exam day beforehand, keeping following things in check: 

  • URAT PG 2023 Admit Card - To take the URAT PG 2023 exam, candidates must download and print their admit card. The admit card contains exam centre information, exam details, and test centre instructions. Candidates will not be allowed to take the URAT 2023 unless they have a valid admit card. The exam timings for different PG courses are different, so candidates should prepare the document a day in advance according to the date and timing of the entrance exam for their respective course. They must not wait until the exam day to obtain admit card printouts. 

Furthermore, they are cannot show the URAT PG 2023 admit card on their mobile phones. The admit card should be a coloured copy, and candidates should also carry 2 passport size photographs to paste on it at the time of exam formalities inside the test hall. Candidates also need to note that they must affix their coloured passport-size photo to the URAT PG 2023 admit card. This photo must not be older than 3 months. It is recommended by the URAT PG exam authority to download their admit card using a laptop or desktop.

Q:   What entrance- test is needed for admission to the BA LLB (Hons) programme at University of Rajasthan?

A:

Admission to the BA LLB (Hons) programme at the University of Rajasthan requires candidates to take the RULET (Rajasthan University Law Entrance Test) entrance exam. Eligibility criteria for this programme include a Class 12 pass from a recognised board with a 50% aggregate for Rajasthan State candidates (45% for reserved category), and for candidates from other states, a 60% aggregate in the Class 12 exam.

A:

To secure admission to the BA LLB Hons programme at Rajasthan University, the eligibility criteria vary for Rajasthan State candidates and those from other states. Rajasthan State candidates must have achieved a minimum aggregate score of 50% in their Class 12 exams, with a slightly lower requirement of 45% for reserved category students. On the other hand, candidates from outside Rajasthan must have a higher aggregate of 60% in their Class 12 examinations. Importantly, admission to this programme is determined by the performance in the RULET entrance exam.

Q:   What is the total number of MA seats available for the MA programme at UNIRAJ?

A:

Across various colleges affiliated with UNIRAJ, a total of 6,700 seats are available for the MA programme. These seats are distributed among different colleges, Babu Shobha Ram Government Arts College and Babu Sobharam Government Arts College, each offering 531 seats, followed by Stani Memorial P.G. College with 372 seats and other colleges contributing to this substantial allocation of MA seats. Rajasthan University has a total of 1305 seats avails for the MA programme which is the highest in number among it's affiliated colleges.

Q:   Is there any entrance exam at Central University of Rajasthan?

A:

Yes, there is an entrance exam called the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) conducted by the Central University of Rajasthan (CURAJ) for admissions into undergraduate, postgraduate, and research programs. The CUET is a nationally conducted entrance test. Admissions to various courses at CURAJ, including undergraduate and postgraduate programs, are primarily through the CUET. The CUET PG exam is conducted for admission to multiple PG courses such as MA, M.Arch, MPharm, MBA, MCom, and others.

Q:   Is there an entrance exam for admission to the MBA programme at UNIRAJ?

A:

For entry into UNIRAJ's MBA programme, there is an entrance exam. To be eligible for admission, students must successfully complete either the Podar Institute Of Management-Management Aptitude Test (PIM-MAT) or the University's URATPG entrance exam. Except for the PhD track, this entrance test is a crucial part of the UNIRAJ MBA programme's admissions procedure.

  • Supporting Photo ID - Along with the admit card, candidates also need to carry a valid photo ID proof including Driving License, Passport, PAN Card, Voter ID, College Id, or Aadhaar Card. The photos on these IDs should be clearly visible. 
  • Things allowed to carry inside the examination hall - Candidates can carry only the URAT PG 2023 Admit Card along with an original and valid Photo ID Card, a simple ballpoint pen, and a cleat water bottle. 
  • Things not to carry inside the examination hall - Candidates must not carry items including Mobile phones or any other electronic gadgets such as watches, calculators, smart devices of any kind, etc. and paper/ notes. The exam centre officials will not be responsible for loss/ misplacement of candidates' belongings.

URAT PG Exam Centres 2023

The address of the URAT PG 2023 exam centres is available on the admit cards of candidates. It is advised to URAT PG 2023 exam takers to make a trip to their exam centre before the exam day because it will allow them to estimate the time required to reach their respective centres. This strategy will also allow them to become familiar with the center's location. Consequently, candidates will not have to waste their time in finding their test centre on exam day. Candidates also need to check the following important details related to their URAT PG 2023 exam centre: 

  • Try to reach the exam centre at least one hour before their exam time. 
  • After reaching the exam centre, cooperate with the personnel involved in the security check and identification of candidates. 
  • Show your URAT PG 2023 admit card and a photo ID proof authorised by the national or state government to support the security check process. 
  • The URAT PG exam authority will capture your biometric data (photo) for the purpose of identification.
  • You will be provided with a workstation enclosed on three sides. Sit at this workstation to take the test. Do not try to look into the monitors of other candidates because you will be under the surveillance of CCTV cameras. Such behaviour will cancel your URAT PG scores. 
  • There will be no locker to keep your electronic devices and other belongings. Thus, do not bring the items prohibited by the exam authority to the exam centre. 
  • There will not be any waiting rooms at the exam centre. Thus, your friends and family members will not be allowed to enter the exam centre. They can wait somewhere outside the exam centre. 
  • Once candidates enter the exam hall, they will not be allowed to take a restroom break. Thus, ensure that you use the restroom before the commencement of the exam if needed.
