JMI CUET 2025: Jamia Millia Islamia accepts CUET scores for admissions to 20 of their UG and PG programmes. NTA opened CUET-PG 2025 applications on January 2, 2025, until February 8, 2025. CUET-UG is also just around the corner. In this article, we will discuss the important CUET dates for JMI admissions, the courses for which JMI aspirants need to take CUET and the JMI Entrance Exam 2025 (for courses other than those under CUET). Jamia Millia Islamia conducts the university-level entrance exam to offer admission to shortlist candidates into various UG & PG courses under specifications such as Engineering and Technology, Law, Teaching and education, Social Sciences, Humanities, and languages. Note: Admission into the engineering courses will be offered based on JEE Main & in BDS based on NEET score.

The application fee for programmes offered at AJK Mass Communication Research Centre, Center for Management Studies, Center for Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Sciences, Faculty of Architecture and Ekistics (except B.Arch Faculty of Education, Faculty of Engineering and Technology (except B.Tech), Faculty of Dentistry and Faculty of Law is INR 700 and for the programmes offered at other faculty members/Centers and for B.Arch and B.Tech is INR 550. Candidates have to pay the application fee online via debit card, credit card, UPI or net banking.
Q: Can I edit the JMI Entrance Exam application form after submission?
Step 1 - Register by entering personal information like name, parents’ name, DOB, gender, nationality, ID, address, and contact details (email and phone). In this step, applicants must also choose a password and set up a security question and answer. An application number will be generated that will be used for future logins along with the password created by the applicants.
Step 2 - Login again and go on to the fill the application form. Provide information like category, category certificates, parents’ occupation and qualifications, annual family income, domicile, educational qualifications, choice of exam cities, and other quota details (PwD, BPL, Ex-Servicemen, etc.).
Step 3 - Upload scanned images of your photograph and signature. The format must be JPG/ JPEG. The size for the photograph must be 10 KB to 200 KB and that of the signature must be 4KB to 30KB.
Step 4 - Pay your application fee using net banking, debit card, credit card or UPI. The revised application fee is provided in the table below.

JMI Admission Process after CUET
Once aspirants have applied and appeared for CUET, they have to fill the JMI admission form on institute's website - jmicoe.in. They will have to mention their CUET application number in this form. Once the CUET results are declared, shortlisted candidates will undergo a counselling and document verification process conducted by JMI. Based on these processes, examinees will be allotted seats to their chosen programmes.

Q: Will Jamia conduct entrance exam 2025?
A: Yes. Just like in past years, Jamia will also conduct the entrance exam for the 2025 session as well. Candidates who wish to take admission into the JMI University will have to fill in the application form of JMI online mode and appear in the entrance exam to crack it. Post which they will have to appear in the counselling process from where they will be allotted the courses as per their merit and preferences.
Q: Can I get admission in JMI through CUET?
A: Yes, candidates can get admission to JMI through CUET. Candidates planning to take UG courses such as B.A with specialisation in (Hindi/Sanskrit/French & Francophone Studies/Spanish & Latin America Studies/Economics/History) or B.Sc (Biotechnology/Physics) etc can get admission in JMI through CUET.
Q: How to apply for CUET 2025?
A: To apply for the CUET 2025, students will have to visit the official website of CUET and fill out the CUET 2025 application form as and when released. While filling out the online application form, candidates will have to register on the portal by providing the required details and finish the procedure by submitting the application fee and required documents.
Q: Can I get direct admission in JMI?
A: No, candidates cannot get admission to the Jamia Millia Islamia directly. To get admission to JMI they will have to qualify in the Jamia Entrance Exam or qualify for the CUET exam for a few specific courses. For Engineering courses or BDS, they will have to rank in JEE or NEET exams.
Q: How much CUET score is required for Jamia Millia Islamia?
A: The CUET score varies each year for the Jamia Millia Islamia. The score also varies as per the category and the courses. To get a general idea, candidates must know that the CUET score for general category candidates is generally 90+ while for SC/ST it is around 50+.
