Andhra University has a School of Distance Education (SDE) that offers UG, PG, diploma and certificate level programmes in the fields of Arts, Science, Commerce, Management, Computer Applications, etc. through distance learning mode.

Latest Update: July 1, 2021: BA / BCom Courses Common Entrance exam is going to be held on 25-Jul-2021. July 1, 2021: BA / BCom Courses Common Entrance exam has been postponed.

Andhra University SDE admission to the above-mentioned programmes is done basis merit and marks obtained in the qualifying examination. Further, admission to BA and BCom courses is also done basis a Common Entrance Exam. Admission to MBA and MCA programmes at Andhra University SDE is done basis AP ICET entrance exam.

As of now, there are 34 study centres for meeting the needs of students pursuing distance learning from Andhra University. The core activities of these study centres include the sale of application forms, solving students queries, face-to-face interactions, etc.

Important The School of Distance Education (SDE) at Andhra University conducts Personal Contact Programme (PCP) for 15 days every year. It is mandatory for students to attend the PCP (wherever applicable). Further, candidates need to secure at least 40% aggregate to pass the examination.
