DAVV CET 2020 Cancelled

Devi Ahilya Vishwa Vidyalaya (DAVV), Indore has decided not to conduct admission through the Common Entrance Test (DAVV CET) this year on the wake of coronavirus pandemic. The Indore bench of the Madhya Pradesh High Court has granted permission to the university to conduct admission on the basis of merit. The admission to MBA programmes, along with several other courses takes place through DAVV CET, which stands cancelled this year.

Earlier, the DAVV Indore had filed a petition stating that keeping in view Covid-19 pandemic, it is not possible to conduct the entrance exam and it should be granted liberty to admit students on the basis of the marks of the qualifying exam.

The University has set up a five-member committee to oversee the admission process for the programmes which used to originally take place on the basis of DAVV CET. The members of the committee include DAVV Vice-Chancellor, a professor from Holkar Science College, and MGM Medical College along with two senior-most professors of the university.

While the application process for the Non-CET programmes are ongoing and will end on August 31, the schedule for the CET based programmes is not announced yet on the official website of DAVV University.

It is expected that the university will announce the admission process by August-end or the first week of September. DAVV CET is conducted for the admissions to UG, PG and Research-Level programmes.
