IIM Bangalore Placements 2023: Consulting Firms Accenture, BCG Emerge Top Recruiting Sector

IIM Bangalore final placements process for MBA 2023 batch concluded recently. The placements process saw maximum offers (221) made by Consulting companies. Read here all about IIM Bangalore MBA placements 2023.

IIM Bangalore final placements 2023 for MBA concluded recently. The MBA placements process reported 100 per cent recruitment with all of 512 students getting placed in top companies across industries.

A total of 606 offers were made during the IIM Bangalore placement process 2023. Maximum offers (221) were made by Consulting companies. Among top recruiters, Accenture made 32 offers, followed by Boston Consulting Group, which made 26 offers.

“This season also witnessed the participation of companies from overseas locations like Europe, Dubai and Singapore with offers across Consulting, Finance and Business Strategy roles.” the institute said in a release.

In the Information Technology and Product Management domain 85 offers were made this year. Prominent recruiters for these domains include Paytm (13), Microsoft (10), Cogoport (8), Jio Platform (7), among others.

IIM Bangalore Placements 2022

IIM Bangalore final placements 2022 witnessed 100 per cent hiring across various domains including Consulting, Finance, Sales & Marketing and E-Commerce. 515 students of MBA batch 2020-2022 were placed during the IIM Bangalore placement process 2022 in which maximum offers (36 per cent) were made by Consulting firms. 

The average and median salary figures witnessed a rise from last year. Average domestic CTC offered stood at INR 33.82 lakh per annum (INR 28.98 lakh per annum in 2021) and the median salary offer stood at INR 31.82 lakh per annum (INR 28.60 in lakh per annum).

Companies which participated in IIM Bangalore placements 2022 include Accenture Strategy, The Boston Consulting Group, Bain & Company, AWS Consulting, Goldman Sachs, Microsoft, McKinsey & Company, Kearney, Amazon Future Builders' Program, Tata Consultancy Services, Navi Technologies, Kotak Mahindra Bank, PwC India and Alvarez & Marsal.

Sector-wise, maximum offers were made in Consulting (42 per cent) followed by Information Technology/Product Management (20 per cent) and e-Commerce (11 per cent). Corporate Finance & Commercial Banking made up for 10 per cent of the total offers, whereas General Management and Sales Management recorded 7 per cent and 5 per cent offers respectively.
