Q:   Which is a better B-School among JBIMS and SIBM Pune?

A:

JBIMS and SIBM are both excellent business schools. They both offer excellent MBA programs, strong alumni network, and excellent placement records. However, there are some key difference between the two schools. JBIMS is located in Mumbai, which gives students access to a wider range of opportunities for internships and jobs. JBIMS also has a higher fee structure than SIBM. Admission to both schools is competitive, but JBIMS is slightly more competitive. The MBA programs at both schools are rigorous and demanding, and they both cover a wide range of topics in management. The placement records for both schools are excellent.

Ultimately, the best way to decide which school is right for you is to visit both campuses and meet with the faculty and students. You should also consider your own personal needs and preference, such as your career goals, your learning style, and your budget.

Campus life and placements here are fantastic.
Placements: From our batch, 100% of students got placed. At least 70% of them got placed in big and renowned companies such as Brain, IIFL, PwC, KPMG, Tata Capital, RBS, BYJU's, etc., that visited the institute to recruit the students. The highest salary offered was 32 LPA, and the average package was 19 LPA. A majority of students got placed in the management, consulting, analytics, engineering, IT services and BFSI sectors.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure of JBIMS is good, with amazing vintage architecture. It is one of the oldest yet well-maintained infrastructures. The institute provides several facilities to us, such as AC and well-furnished classrooms with projectors, seamless Wi-Fi accessibility, a huge library with an enormous collection of 40,000+ books, publications, periodicals, and materials. JBIMS doesn't have a hostel of its own, so I rented a PG in the nearby locality. I used to travel 20-25 minutes daily from my PG to the campus. I found the PG located at a bit far, but it was good on the living part.
Faculty: The faculty members are extremely knowledgeable and friendly, and they motive and foster the students to be industry-ready and grab the job offers in top recruiting companies during placements. The two-year program is divided into 4 semesters, and there's a set core course in each semester. Students are focused more on electives, seminars, and projects during their 2nd and 3rd semesters. Dissertation must be completed in the final semester. Therefore, the syllabus is very diverse with a combination of core courses, seminars and practicals along with summer projects and dessertation.

Placements: This college is definitely the best not only in Mumbai but also in India if you want to obtain a Master's degree in finance. There is Wi-Fi facility available for students. The library has both online and offline resources and has all the relevant reference books. The quality of canteen food is fantastic, and the prices are affordable too. There are many sports activities. However, studies and internships leave us very little time.
