MICAT Eligibility Criteria 2024: Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad, has released MICAT eligibility criteria along with the admission notification. Candidates aspiring for PGDM admission in MICA must go through the MICAT eligibility criteria before applying. As per the MICAT 2024 eligibility criteria, candidates must hold a bachelor's degree, irrespective of the discipline. 

Additionally, candidates must have appeared for any of the following entrance exams:

  • CAT
  • XAT
  • GMAT

MICAT Eligibility Criteria 2024

MICAT eligibility criteria compile conditions to be fulfilled by the candidates who wish to apply for PGDM admissions in MICA. Eligibility conditions of MICAT 2024 exam are decided based on the below-mentioned parameters:

Q:   Can I get admission in MICA for MBA with 60% in Class 12th?

A:

Yes, You can get into MICA with 60% in class 12th. minimum marks you required is 55%. MICA (Mudra institute of communication Ahmedabad), admission to MICA is typically through a competitive exams like XAT/ GMAT/ MICAT/ CAT. After GE ( group exercise) PI ( personal interview) these section are usually part of the selection process to examine candidate's communication skills, imagination, manageable for the program, then college will be published the final merit list. student can also go for direct admission in MICR management quota seat, NRI quota seat, donation seat.

Q:   Which entrance exam scores does MICA accept for admission to FPM?

A:

Entrance exam score MICA accept for admission to FPM (fellow programme in management) are -

  • GMAT ( graduate management admission test)
  • UGC NET ( National eligibility test in management )
  • CAT (Common admission test) 

Candidates should also have these education qualifications -

  • Masters degree in any discipline with at least 55% marks 
  • Professional qualifications like CA, ICWA, CS, must have four-year bachelor's degree with at least 55% marks.

MICAT 2024 Eligibility Criteria: Educational Qualification

Candidates need to meet the following educational qualification to be eligible for MICAT 2024:

  • Qualifying Education: Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree
  • Stream: Degree in any stream is applicable
  • Degree Recognition: The bachelor’s degree must be obtained from an institute/university recognised by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU)
  • Minimum Education: Candidates must have completed a minimum of 15 years of education in a 10 2 3 format
  • Exception: Candidates waiting for the final year results are also eligible to apply for MICAT 2024. However, candidates must pass the exams for final admission.

Besides the above educational qualification, candidates with a knack for expressing, assessing, or conceiving ideas that lead to moving people to action and achieving business results have a better chance of being shortlisted.

MICAT 2024 Eligibility Criteria: Qualifying Exam Score & Age Limit

As per the MICAT eligibility criteria, candidates must have passed the qualifying degree exam. There is no minimum score criteria or an upper age limit to apply for the MICAT exam. Therefore, candidates with a valid bachelor’s degree completed in the 10 2 3 pattern are eligible irrespective of their qualifying degree score or age limit.

MICAT Eligibility Criteria 2024: Qualifying Entrance Exams

As per the prerequisite for admission into MICA, candidates must apply for the MICAT exam. Before the candidates take MICAT, they must hold a valid score in any of the three qualifying entrance exams mentioned below:

Q:   Does MICA accept CAT score?

A:

Admission to a PGP course (equivalent to MBA) is completely entrance-based. For the selection of candidates in MBA course, MICA accepts a valid CAT score. The weightage of this exam is 20% in the entire selection process. Candidates can either qualify for CAT or they can also prepare for other popular entrance exams such as XAT or GMAT. Candidates who qualify CAT will have to appear for MICAT in the next step of the MICA admission process.

Q:   Can I get into MICA with 70 percentile?

A:

MICA admissions are through a layered filtering process comprising of CAT/ XAT /GMAT performance followed by the performance in MICAT written exam and finally the GE and PI performance. The step 1 of MICA admissions is Psychometric test. This section is a qualifier. followed by the Step 2, which is for the candidates who qualify through Psychometric test, their relative performance on CAT /XAT/ GMAT is considered.

A minimum cutoff of the best of the three scores is considered of CAT /XAT total percentile or GMAT score. The next step is the MICAT exam followed by the GE and PI. However, CAT/ XAT/ GMAT percentile/ scores make up only the 20 per cent of the total weightage of the final composite score. 

Q:   Can I get MBA at MICA with 75 percentile in CAT?

A:

Yes, you can get MBA in MICA with 75 percentile in CAT. minimum percentile required is 70-80. MICA (Mudra institute of communication Ahmedabad), admission to MICA is typically through a competitive exams like XAT/ GMAT/ MICAT/ CAT

Q:   Can I appear for both MICAT I and II?

A:

Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad, conducts MICAT exam in two phases every year. Candidates can appear for either of the exam phase or both the exam phases. MICA is assess the performance of all the test takers based on the best of two scores. However, candidates appearing for both the exam phases will have to apply for the exam twice by paying the application cum examination fee. MICAT exam pattern for both first and second phase remains the same. Therefore, one can prepare for both the exam phases at once.

Q:   What is the process to apply for MICAT exam?

A:

MICAT application process includes online registration, filling up of MICAT application form (by providing certain details) uploading scanned photograph and signature, payment of MICAT application fee followed by printing the MICAT registration form. Candidates have to complete the MICAT registration online on its official website. No other mode is provided to apply for MICAT exam.

Candidates aspiring to appear for both the exam phases of MICAT exam have to apply twice. Additionally, the application fee for the MICAT exam phases will be charged twice.

MICA provides 20 per cent weightage to the above entrance exam while selecting candidates for admission. The eligibility criteria for these qualifying entrance exams are mentioned below:

CAT Eligibility Criteria

Candidates need to fulfil the following eligibility conditions to apply for the CAT exam:

  • Educational Qualification: Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree
  • Minimum Qualifying Score: Candidates must have obtained a minimum aggregate of 50 per cent or equivalent CGPA if they belong to unreserved categories. Reserved category candidates scoring 45 per cent aggregate marks are also eligible.
  • Age Limit: Candidates can apply for the CAT exam irrespective of their age.
  • Exception: Candidates who are yet to pass the final year exams under the bachelor’s degree programme or are waiting for the results can appear for the CAT exam.

XAT Eligibility Criteria

Candidates need to fulfil the following eligibility conditions to apply for the XAT exam:

  • Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree from a recognised institute/university, irrespective of the discipline.
  • Minimum Qualifying Score: No minimum qualifying score is required in the degree course. Candidates must have passed as per the university’s norms.
  • Age Limit: There is no upper or lower age limit to apply for the XAT exam.
  • Exception: Candidates in the final year of the UG degree course or waiting for the final semester results are also eligible to appear for XAT.

GMAT Eligibility Criteria

Candidates need to fulfil the following eligibility conditions to apply for the GMAT exam:

  • Educational Qualification: GMAC, the conducting body of GMAT, has not specified any minimum educational qualification for the candidates to appear for the exam.
  • Age Limit: There is no upper age for the GMAT exam. The lower age limit is set as 18 years. Aspirants in the age group of 13 to 17 years are also allowed to appear for the GMAT exam subject to written approval or consent from legal guardians or parents.
