TAPMI Placement 2020: 25 percent hike in highest salary package offered

The T.A. Pai Management Institute placement drive 2020 witnessed a hike in the average salary as well as the highest package offered.

T.A. Pai Management Institute (TAPMI), a Business school located in Karnataka, has completed its final placement drive for its flagship PG diploma in Management (PGDM) General and PDGM-BKFS programmes for the batch of 2018-20. According to the data released in the press release by the business school, the T.A. Pai Management Institute placement drive 2020 witnessed a hike in the average salary as well as the highest package offered. Last year, the average salary offered during the T.A. Pai Management Institute placement drive was Rs 11.1 lakh. However, in the year 2020, the B-school received an average salary of Rs 11.5 lakh. The highest salary package offered during the 2020 placement drive of the B-school is Rs 25 lakh (an increase of 25% from last year).

TAPMI Placement 2020: Average package

TAPMI’s specialist programme, PGDM (BKFS) designed on the lines of MS Finance saw a decent hike in this year’s offered average salary. Last year, the average salary offered for the programme was Rs 11.3 lakh, however, the average salary offered this year is Rs 12.7 lakh. The B-school students who sat for the TAPMI Placement Drive 2020 achieved a 2.8-time increase in their salary package for post-programme as compared to the pre-programme salary.

TAPMI Placement Drive 2020: Recruiters

The TAPMI Placement Drive 2020 witnessed recruiters’ participation from various sectors. Companies from Consulting, IT, Analytics, e-commerce, FMCG, retail, manufacturing, and BFSI sector participated in the B-school’s recruitment drive.

For TAPMI Placement 2020 a total of 428 students were eligible. However, five students out of the total opted out of the placement drive to venture out on their own. 102 companies made offers to a total of 421 students.

Almost 78 students received pre-placement offers through summer internships at an average package of Rs 12.9 lakh. 76 students accepted the offers. The highest package offered pre-during placement was Rs25 lakh.
