Why should you choose MBA programme from MITCOM (MIT ADT) Pune?

In a conversation with Shiksha.com, experts at MIT College of Management, MIT Art Design and Technology University, Pune talk in detail about their MBA programme and its specialisations. The experts elaborate on the detailed admission process and also share about the changes introduced in the admission process due to the global pandemic. The experts at MITCOM have listed various reasons to consider them over any other management institute across the country out of which the most important one is their pedagogical philosophy that aims at facilitating ‘learning by doing’.

Q: What is the eligibility criteria and selection process for admission to the MBA programme at MITCOM (MIT ADT) Pune?

A: To be eligible for admission to the MBA programme at MITCOM (MIT ADT) Pune, a student must have a minimum aggregate of 50 per cent in graduation in any stream from a recognised university. Also, the student must have a score of 40 or above out of 200 in any of the nationally accepted management qualifying exams such as CET, CAT, MAT, ATMA, AIMA, AIMA and GMAT. If a student has not appeared in any of the qualifying exams for 2020 admission, they can apply for PERA foundation entrance exam 2020.

The eligible students can apply for admission online on the institute’s official website before July 15 by paying a nominal fee amount of Rs 1,500.

Though, the section process generally includes three stages-Written Aptitude Test, Group Discussion Round and Personal Interview Round. But, because of the nationwide lockdown due to the Coronavirus pandemic, we are only organising virtual Personal Interview (PI) rounds.

The final selection will be made basis the holistic view of students’ merit performance, qualifying exam score and performance in PI round.

Q: What are the various specialisation options available to students?

A: Considering the growing need of industry-ready professionals and well-equipped professionals in the market, MITCOM decided to offer the MBA degree in all core areas of management to make the basics strong of students. The specialisations option available to students are :

  • Marketing
  • International Business
  • Operations Management
  • Finance
  • Project Construction Management
  • Port and Shipping Management

Q: What is the total cost of the two year MBA programme?

A: The total cost of two year MBA programme varies on the basis of stream in which student want to pursue MBA such as:

  • For MBA General (Marketing, IB, Operations and Finance), the total fee is Rs 4.18 lakh
  • For MBA in Project Construction Management, the total fee is Rs 4.10 lakh
  • And, for MBA in Port and Shipping Management, the total fee is Rs 5.01 lakh

Q: How is MITCOM different from any other management degree offering institute across the country? Can you share some highlights?

A: The curriculum of all management degree offering institutes is more or less the same but what makes them different is their pedagogical philosophy or delivery of content. In the last MITCOM placement season, we have witnessed the highest package of Rs 6 LPA and an average package of Rs 4.2 LPA offered to MBA General students.
