MAT 2024 exam will be held in PBT and CBT modes in December. There will be one PBT and 2 CBTs. Candidates can register for MAT December 2024 at AIMA MAT website and choose the preferred exam mode in the application form. MAT CBT 1 will be conducted on December 7, 2024 admit card for which has been released. Candidates who registered for the MAT 2024 CBT 1 can download their admit card now.

Q: What is MAT exam for?
MAT exam is conducted for admission to MBA and PGDM or PGP programmes offered by over 800 B-Schools in India. The exam is conducted multiple times in four phases - February, May, September and December. It is conducted by the All India Management Association (AIMA). Candidates can appear for the MAT exam in any session any number of times. The score of the latest attempt will be taken into consideration for MBA Admission.
There are three modes to MAT. Computer Based Test (CBT), Paper Based Test (PBT) and Internet Based Test (IBT). In every exam phase, MAT CBT and PBT are conducted once, and IBT is conducted 3-5 times.

The fee payment to appear for the MAT exam is mandatory. The AIMA charges every candidates examination fee at the time of form filling. While filling the MAT application form the fee payment is to be done for acceptance of the candidature. The MAT application fees have been increased and the revised fees are as follows: Paper-Based Test (PBT): INR 2,100 Computer-Based Test (CBT): INR 2,100 Internet-Based Test (IBT): 2,100 Both PBT and CBT: INR 3,300 Candidates are required to pay the fee in online mode I. e. through debit card, credit card, net banking or UPI. Candidates must note that the MAT application form will not be submitted until the fee payment is done. Key points to keep in mind while filling the MAT application form is that the fee is non-refundable and there is no provision of form corrections. So, in case a candidate has made a mistake in the form, they will have to register again and fill a new form by paying the fee again. To take a re-test also, candidates have to fill a fresh MAT application form and pay the fee again.

Q: What are MAT eligibility criteria?
Since MAT is an entrance exam for post graduate level management courses, the minimum eligibility criteria for MAT exam is graduation. Candidate should have completed graduation in full-time or part-time mode in Arts, Commerce or Science from a recognised university. The eligibility criteria for MAT PBT, CBT and IBT are the same. Final year graduation students who will be giving their final exam or awaiting results are also eligible to appear in MAT. There is no minimum score requirement in MAT. Candidates need to have passing marks in graduation.
However, MBA colleges have the eligibility criteria of minimum 50 per cent in graduation (45 per cent for SC/ST/PWD), thus candidates who aspire to pursue MBA need to ensure that they score a minimum of 50 per cent in graduation. SC/ST/PwD candidates need to have a minimum of 45 per cent in their Bachelor's degree programme. There is no age bar or appearing in MAT. Fresh graduates as well as working professionals can apply for MAT.

What is MAT Exam?
Management Aptitude Test or MAT is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the All India Management Association (AIMA) for admissions to MBA/PGDM courses at 800+ B-schools in India. MAT is in multiple sessions in four phases – February, May, September and December. Yes, you can attempt MAT exam as many times as you want. MAT is conducted multiple times in a year and three different modes. The MAT exam is held in February, May, September and December. In each phase there are 4-5 IBT sessions, 2 CBT sessions and 1 PBT session. If a candidate is not satisfied with their score of first attempt, they can choose any upcoming session to appear for it again. They can choose an exam phase and a session as per their preparation level, decision to pursue MBA or admission cycle of the target college. Yes, the difficulty level of MAT exam is lower than other MBA entrance exams. The question paper is usually of easy to moderate difficulty level. The exam is now held for 120 minutes. MAT admit card 2024 every session will be released separately. Candidates must ensure they carry session specific MAT admit card on the exam day. In order to download the MAT hall ticket, candidates will have to key in registration number and date of birth on the login page of AIMA-MAT website. Given below are the steps to download the MAT admit card:

MAT Exam Day Guidelines
Take two printouts of the MAT admit card after downloading it. Here are some key guidelines that need to be kept in mind for MAT 2024:
- For MAT IBT mode, candidates should arrange a laptop/desktop and check internet connection at least one hour before the exam timing.
- For MAT IBT mode, candidates should wear formal clothes and keep the admit card and other documents ready for remote verification process.
- They should sit in a well lit room with no disturbance. No other person should be allowed in the room where candidate is taking the test.
- MAT PBT and CBT are conducted from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Candidates have to report to the exam centre by 8:30 AM.

MAT Results 2024
MAT result 2024 is uploaded in candidate's dashboard. There is no official announcement of the result release, so candidates have to simply login and check their scorecards. Hardcopy of the MAT result cum scorecard is not issued. It has to be downloaded online only. Given below is the process to download MAT 2024 result cum scorecard.
