AP NEET counselling dates 2024 were announced by Dr NT Rao University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS), the counselling conducting body for the registration process, which was conducted from August 9, 2024, to August 16, 2024, 11.59 PM. The registration process with late fee was held from August 19, 2024, to September 3, 2024, the date of declaration of the provisional merit list. The last date to submit grievances against the provisional merit list was September 9, 2024, 2 PM. The web options entry or choice filling could be done till September 11, 2024, 9 PM

Only those whose names are mentioned in the Merit List are eligible to participate in the Andhra Pradesh NEET 2024 counselling process.

There were four rounds of counselling. Further rounds of AP NEET counselling 2024 may be announced in case vacant seats after stray round. The AP NEET 2024 counselling dates were scheduled from August to November 2024. There are around five to six steps such as the declaration of merit list, seat matrix, registration, participation in counselling and declaration of round-wise result, followed by institute reporting and document verification. 

The NEET 2024 exam was conducted on May 5, 2024, and the NEET 2024 result was declared on June 4, 2024. NTA re-conducted the exam for 1,563 candidates with grace marks on June 23, 2024, and their result was declared on July 1, 2024. Out of 1,563 eligible candidates, 813 candidates appeared in the exam conducted in six exam centres located in five states across India. Based on the Supreme Court of India verdict on NEET 2024 petitions, NTA released the NEET 2024 re-revised result on July 26, 2024. NTRUHS has considered the revised NEET 2024 cutoff for creating the list of qualifying candidates. 

Based on previous years' trends, the AP NEET counselling process begins approximately a month after the commencement of the NEET counselling process for 15 per cent All India Quota (AIQ) seats. The MCC NEET counselling process started on August 14, 2024. However, this year, the registration process for AP NEET counselling started before the All India NEET counselling.

A: 

AP NEET counselling process 2024 has begun on August 9, 2024, with the registration process. Eligible candidates had to register online till August 16, 2024, 6 PM. The late registration process started on August 19, 2024, at 9 AM and continued till the provisional merit list was out on September 3, 2024. Candidates could submit grievance against the merit list till September 9, 2024, 2 PM. After that, candidates could fill and lock seat choices as per the seat matrix till September 10, 2 PM. The seat allotment result will be declared, based on which candidates will have to accept the seat or request for upgrade. In case of acceptance, they will have to report to the institute with the requisite documents and complete the admission formalities.

Q:   When will the Andhra Pradesh NEET UG counselling 2024 seat matrix release?

A: 

Dr NTR University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS), or the counselling authority of the Andhra Pradesh NEET counselling releases the seat matrix for before each round. Candidates have to fill and submit choices of MBBS and BDS seats based on the seat matrix of Andhra Pradesh NEET counselling for that particular round.

Q:   What is the deadline for reporting to the allotted college for Andhra Pradesh NEET counselling?

A: 

In general, the institute reporting process for Andhra Pradesh NEET counselling is conducted for three to four days for each round. Candidates will have to check the important dates carefully and report to the institutes within the deadline. In certain cases, the last date of reporting to institutes is extended.

Salient Features of the Andhra Pradesh NEET Counselling

The Andhra Pradesh NEET 2024 counselling will be held in three to four rounds such as Round 1, Round 2 and Round 3 or mop-up round, and stray vacancy round (if the seats are left vacant). After the conclusion of the Andhra Pradesh NEET counselling 2024 dates, participating institutes may also conduct their counselling process at the college level to fill the remaining vacant seats (if any).

To participate in the AP NEET counselling 2024, candidates have to register themselves first. Registration for Andhra Pradesh NEET counselling has to be done online and the registration form for various rounds is available on the official website of NTRUHS. 

AP NEET counselling registration is considered and accepted only after the payment of the registration fee. After the successful submission of the NEET counselling registration form, the conducting body released the list of the registered candidates whose applications will be accepted.

The candidates whose names will be on the list have to report to the document verification centres. After the document verification process, the candidates have to fill their choice of colleges priority-wise. A provisional merit list of shortlisted candidates will be released for seat allotment.

After this, the subsequent counselling rounds will take place depending upon the cutoff and availability of seats.

Q:   How will the seats be allotted to the candidates during the Andhra Pradesh NEET counselling process?

Q:   Are there any reservations for SC/ST/OBC candidates in Andhra Pradesh NEET counselling?

A: 

Yes, there is reservation for SC, ST and OBC category candidates for the Andhra Pradesh NEET counselling process. The reservation percentage is 15 per cent and six per cent for the SC and ST categories respectively. The Backward Classes are segragated into five sub-categories and the reservation percentage ranges from one per cent to seven per cent. Apart from these categories, there are reservations for Army, NCC, PWD, Police Martyr's Children, female candidates and EWS. The category-wise reservation structure is given in the table below.

Q:   Where can I get my documents verified for Andhra Pradesh NEET Counselling?

A: 

The document verification process for Andhra Pradesh NEET counselling will be conducted in offline mode, wherein candidates have to visit the institutes allotted to them with the original documents. The physical verification of documents and candidates will take place at the institute allotted to them within the stipulated duration. Once the document verification process is successfully completed, candidates will have to pay the admission fee to confirm their admission to the institute.

Q:   Is there a provision for upgradation of seats after each round of Andhra Pradesh NEET counselling?

A: 

Yes, after the declaration of the Andhra Pradesh NEET counselling seat allotment result, candidates will be given the option to upgrade the seat choice. Based on that, the counselling authorities will upgrade the seats depending on the choices entered by candidates, in case the desired seat is vacant after the institute reporting process is concluded. However, candidates must note that in case they accept a seat by reporting to the allotted institute, they will not be eligible to participate in the next round of Andhra Pradesh NEET counselling.

Q:   How many seats are offered through Andhra Pradesh NEET counselling?

The Andhra Pradesh NEET counselling process is conducted for admission to MBBS and BDS programmes. Based on last year's seat matrix, there were 5,335 MBBS and 1,440 BDS seats. The number of seats for each course may vary this year. The actual number will be provided through the seat matrix.

  • Seat allotment letter
  • NEET 2024 admit card
  • NEET 2024 scorecard
  • Class 10 mark sheet/Birth Certificate
  • Marksheet of Class 12 or equivalent
  • Transfer certificate
  • Aadhaar card (or any other valid photo ID proof)
  • Study certificate (s) from Class 6 to 12
  • The residence certificate of the candidate or either of the parents issued by MRO/Tehsildar (if applicable)
  • Special Category certificate (if applicable)
