DNB PDCET counselling is held online for seat allotment. Candidates have to register online to participate in the counselling. Registration can be done at counselling.nbe.edu.in. Candidates who will qualify DNB PDCET 2024 with minimum cut off are eligible for the counselling for post diploma courses.
Apart from registration, DNB PDCET counselling process involves fee payment, choice filling, seat allotment and reporting. As part of choice filling, candidates will have to declare their preferences of colleges and courses for seat allotment. DNB PDCET Counselling 2024: The Process
All those who wish to participate in the DNB counselling after PDCET 2024 have to register themselves on the official counselling of NBE. This is the first and most essential step of the counselling process. As mentioned earlier, DNB counselling for PDCET will be held in four rounds. However, a candidate needs to register on the website only once before the first round of counselling. New registrations will not be accepted after the first round of DNB counselling. To complete the registration process, candidates need to pay a DNB counselling fee of INR 2500. This fee has to be paid only once and is non-refundable. Steps involved in the counselling of DNB PDCET 2024 have been illustrated below.
How to register to participate in DNB Counselling after PDCET?
- Go to the official website; counseling.nbe.edu.in
- Select 'PD-CET (Post Diploma)'
- Choose the 'Create/Reset password' option
- Enter registered mobile number and DNB PDCET roll number/ registered email Id
- Click 'Send OTP'
- Set a password for this account
- Login using the new credentials
- Pay the counselling fee
- After the payment is successful, click on 'Fill counselling form'
- Enter the following details

DNB PDCET Counselling: Process of Allotment of Seats
First Round
- Eligible candidates who clear DNB PDCET register on the portal
- He/she now has to select the desired institutes/hospitals for DNB
- There is no limit to the number of colleges once can choose at this stage
- Reserved category candidates need to confirm the category/ sub-category
- The documents uploaded during the registration process under scrutiny
- If a candidate fails to select the “Lock and Confirm” option before the last date of submission, the choices saved by him/her will be considered as final
- If a candidate does not register online or fails to pay the DNB counselling fee within the timeframe allotted, he/she will be out from the counselling process
- Allocation of seats in the reserved category will be done only after the seats in the general category are exhausted
- NBE will then release a mock seat allotment list and open the correction window
- Candidates who had registered earlier will get the opportunity to change/ modify the choices filled
- New registrations will not be accepted during this period
- Taking the modifications into account, NBE will release a final seat allotment list
- The options lower to the seat that has been allocated to the candidate will be disabled on the registration form
- The options higher in preference will be retained for upgradation in the next round
- If a candidate is satisfied with the seat allotted in DNB counselling and does not wish to participate in any further rounds of counselling, he/she should opt for 'freezing' the seat
- To freeze the seat that has been allocated, the candidate needs to pay the course fee for the first year at the time of counselling
- A candidate who has paid the course fee will not be eligible to participate in the next round for upgradation
- If a candidate opts to freeze a seat but fails to pay the course fee, he/she shall be out from the entire DNB counselling process
- Candidates alloted a seat in the first round of counselling who wish to participate in the next round for upgradation must not choose the 'freeze' option in DNB counselling
Second and Third Round
- NBE will release a list of the seat vacant
- Step 10 – Step 17 of the first round will be repeated
- If a candidate wants to retain the seat allocated to him/her in the first round, he/ she has to remove all the other options from the choice form
- If a candidate fails to remove the other options and is upgraded to an institute of higher preference, he/ she will then have to accept the upgraded seat.
- Candidates who have been allotted a seat and have paid the course fee for one year, have to report to the allotted institute for verification of the documents
Fourth Round (Offline)
- The candidates who had registered online but were not allotted a seat in the previous three rounds can participate in this round
- Candidate has to report to the NBE Office on the designated date and time with all the documents enlisted above (in original)
- Once a seat has been allocated, the candidate has to pay the course fee to confirm the admission
