Maharashtra NEET PG counselling 2020: Document verification postponed due to COVID-19

Post an increase in the number of cases in Maharashtra, CET Cell has cancelled the document verification process for Maharashtra NEET PG counselling 2020. The verification process will now take place during the reporting phase of counselling.

The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Government of Maharashtra has cancelled the physical verification of documents for Maharashtra NEET PG counselling 2020. This step was taken after the spread of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in the state of Maharashtra. Instead, the documents of selected candidates will be verified when they will report to the allocated institute for confirmation of their admission. Document Verification of NRI Candidates:

Candidates who are claiming reservation under the NRI quota will have to submit their documents online. If a candidate fails to submit the documents to justify their claim, they will be considered as an open category candidate. If need be, the candidate may be called individually to the office of the Directorate Medical Education & Research, Mumbai.

Maharashtra NEET PG counselling 2020: What Next?

• Candidates who wish to edit their claim for reserved/PwD category will be able to modify their application form for Maharashtra NEET PG 2020 counselling from March 18. However, open category candidates will not be allowed to change their category using this edit window.
• Such candidates can upload their PwD certificates, issued by an authorised medical practitioner, up to March 22.
• Candidates will be able to fill the preference form of Maharashtra NEET PG counselling 2020 online from March 24
